But it's not all doom and gloom. In an abandoned missile silo, weve found one of our first weapons against the Storm you. We're looking for a few good commanders like you to help make a difference, push back the storm and protect those among us who are unable to protect themselves.

Explore the world. Rescue survivors. Make hundreds of guns, swords, and things that go boom. Make impregnable forts. Tastefully decorate with sniper perches, poison gas traps, and jump pads. Take back the world. You know, the usual. And be sure to invite your friends. Welcome to Fortnite.

It may not be the first battle royale game, and it certainly won’t be the last, but Fortnite sets itself apart from the crowd by giving you the freedom and tools to express your own personal playstyle.

Regardless of its flaws, Fortnite is a seriously fun co-op experience that most will want to spend hours playing. There’s plenty of content, the gunplay is satisfying, and it runs well on the hardware as long as you’re comfortable playing at 30 FPS. I would love to see models added to the first-person viewpoint in the future, but even without that you’re still left with an impressive and expansive game comparable to the Horde mode from Gears of War that I’ve always loved. Based on this alone, I’d say Fortnite is well worth your time.

Whether we're talking aesthetics or the accessibility of its gameplay, all is good for Fortnite, which provides a beautiful vision of what Battle Royale should be.

A funny and entertaining mix of different genres, spanning from third person action-shooter to RPG to crafting/building mechanics. It's already got lots of contents even if in early access, but it's a bit too heavy in the farming/grinding side, with players that often ignore the action for tens of minutes to go harvesting materials.

If you have friends to play with and want to devote a good chunk of time into it, Fortnite can showcase a lot of entertaining times with some great teamwork and cooperative builds. As it stands right now though, I think gamers should wait a little while and see what gets added, changed and tweaked. Maybe by then there will be some more variety added to spruce up the tired repetitive gameplay and it will be more of a game that will make a more positive impression on those who play it.

This allows for "Fortnite" to have a very competitive scene and a very casual one. The in game mechanics are simple and easy to use. The building mechanic is the interesting one. It's simple to use and great for getting out of sticky situations, it also allows for some pretty epic build battles. The fast pace game-play and unique concept makes "Fortnite" one of the best games out. That's why I give "Fortnite" a perfect 10/10 score. Expand

Battle Royale is simply half of the game and I played Save the World months before I played Battle Royale.

I think this game is addictive for a reason...
    Pros
    - The art style is cartoony, cut and playful.
    - There are constant update and fixes to keep the game stable.
    - The map is ever changing and reacts to real life events.
    - The game is influenced by popular media, for example dances and memes.
    - Creative storyline with fun characters.
    - Design wise it is impressive and high level for animation.
    - Interactive and ever changing.

    Cons
    - Their is a divide in story between Battle Royale and Save the World, I wanted their to be a connected between the two or a subtle mention in Save the World about a battle island.
    - Always bugs when a patch comes out
    - Weapon balance issues
    - Aim is a little off and sometimes no where near the target.
    - Needs more LTMs
    - Not solo player friendly in Save the World or Battle Royale

Overall the game is great and I really enjoy it, epic support has also been really great every time I have had a personal issues... I may have a rare case, but it is a case of what has happened and I do enjoy it.

Fornite is a decent game. Graphics aren't as good as other games. More for the younger kids in Junior High. Big hit for them.

Not going to waste a bunch of time writing a long review. Simply put, Fortnite is fun for the first few hours, then becomes stale. The game starts to feel repetitive after a while, and you end up feeling like there's not much more to do other than what's already been done. There's a great basis for an amazing game, I just feel like the execution isn't there. Expand

I gave this a try because of its growing popularity and worrying trend in the news. It's a rubbish game. Fortunately it's free.

I gave this a try because of its growing popularity and worrying trend in the news. It's a rubbish game. Fortunately it's free.

    Graphics are colourful but simplistic.

I came across absolutely zero tutorials and the menu screens take ages to comprehend the hard way, putting new players at a major disadvantage, not to mention the mircrotransactions that put those willing to spend real money at an unfair advantage.

Avoid this like the plague. The game almost seems to capitalise on anger. I could feel myself getting angry at the game and wanting to go back for more, but then I asked myself what the point was when I could be playing much better games. One major gripe I have is with loading times - ridiculous in number and length!

If your kid is playing, take some responsibility and make sure they're not addicted and get them some decent games instead.

This is the definition of an overrated game. People only play because it’s so popular, but the thing is, the game is bad. This is pay to win. This is the definition of an overrated game. People only play because it’s so popular, but the thing is, the game is bad. This is pay to win. You have to spend so much money and it’s overpriced garbage you should not have to buy. The gameplay is repetitive, the art style is ugly, and it’s got tons of bugs. My game has crashed at least 5 times for no reason. And it’s only during fortnite when it happens. Only play if you have no life or like laggy, bad shooters. DON’T PLAY. Expand
