Woodle Tree 2: Deluxe+ delivers a pleasant 3D platform adventure, with a satisfying gameplay and varied environments. It just lacks in the visuals side with too simplistic and flat graphics, but it will surely be a satisfying experience also for kids and newcomers to the genre.
Woodle Tree 2: Deluxe+ on Xbox One is as wholesome and serviceable a platformer as they come. If you have already exhausted the many stronger alternatives available on Xbox One, then this woodsy adventure might be worth a look, and it won’t set you back too much either.
Woodle Tree 2: Deluxe+ for me is a sound 3D platformer and is not over-complex, though it does seem to have confused its target market somewhat. With its simple story and cute graphics, you would think the game is aimed at the younger generation. But with the tricky combat and awkward jumping at times, you would need to be a slightly more accomplished gamer to be able complete some areas, as it requires a level of nerve and patience the younger generation don’t usually have.

Not to long ago it seems I enjoyed the first Woodle Tree game, so I was surprised to see a sequel so soon. I have to say I really enjoyed this one even more than the first title. They added so many new elements it didn't even feel like the same game. This time around your playing as the son of the original hero, but this time your equipped with so much more to aid in your adventure. You get a really cool leaf you can use to swat enemies with, catch water, even to ride on. this time around the open world adventures are available to be enjoyed with 3 other friends. So it is an excellent adventure to be had with buddies or even your child. They will love the giant open world full of cute enemies from little guys made of fire, Bees, Rams, Blobs, Gators, so many adorable creatures. This time the story is you are trying to stop a black ooze that is taking over your land. The elder trees have fallen victim , and you must find 3 water drops in each world to revive them. It is just addictive fun. Like the first game you collect berries to buy things. You will find yourself forgetting your missions and just trying to collect them all.
The berries make it possible to purchase skills as well as cosmetics. You can purchase a triple jump that will aid in your adventure a lot. The cosmetic purchases are all little cute items to add to your character like flowers and masks and such. I found myself early just grabbing every berry in sight trying to buy it all up. I figure a lot of people will do the same. The berries can be difficult to get to, and a lot of fun as well. It isn't overly challenging, but it may take a couple tries on some locations. If you die you just respawn on the nearest save point. The save points are little marked stumps you have to step on to. They aren't hard to find, and there are plenty so your near having to travel to far if you mess up on something. It's a perfect game to experience with younger players, and guaranteed to keep them busy for hours. They are gonna love all of the characters and enemies in the game. They are all really enjoyable and well designed.
I also loved the look and sounds of the game. The music is catchy, and never really feels repetitive. The world changes a lot as you adventure out so it feels like you are discovering new grounds, and feels accomplishing even if it wasn't a super difficult challenge. Some areas feel a little less polished than others, but all really blend together nicely. I never felt like I was roaming the same spots over and over. They are all colorful and bright. They are easy on the eyes, and make you want to keep on your adventure to see what else is out there. It is an addictive platformer that can be enjoyed with others. It really gives me a lot of Minecraft vibes as far as the exploration with other gamers. If your reading this , because you enjoyed the first game and your wondering if you will enjoy this one as well. Go ahead and take that chance. I loved the first one , but love this even more. Any one else wondering if they should grab, because you didn't play the first title. You don't need the first one to enjoy this, but I'm sure after you're gonna want to experience the first adventure as well.
Pros:
Huge Open world to be explored alone or with friends
Cute Characters and enemies
Tons of skills and cosmetics to unlock
Delightful story and soundtrack
Addictive family friendly fun
Cons:
Some areas can feel unpolished or basic
Overall: 8.2
Woodle Tree 2 is even better than the first one. A huge world that you can explore with friends or by yourself. Loaded with new skills, abilities, and cute characters and enemies that will keep you coming back over and over again. Hours , Days, even weeks of fun ahead with Woodle Tree 2. A must have for family friendly game lovers.
Woodle Tree 2 Deluxe: Woodle Tree 2 is a Action based 3D plat-former and plays very much like you would expect. You take charge of Woodle, a little tree / log on a mission. Using some pretty fun mechanics like floating and watering plants to make them grow you traverse the log world. I was quite plesently surprised at how well the stages are designed and giving a good mount of vertical area to explore, though this can sometimes be to your detrement as it can be slightly easy to fall at times. However with a bit of skill and a bit of luck you muddle through. Woodle Tree 2 is definitely a fun little game aimed at the more casual gamer looking for a bit of platform fun, however it does come with some frustrating moments that may take a few attempts to get to grips with. Visually Woodle Tree 2 offers up a palette of bright simple colours with well designed levels and characters. This does make it feel like it is aimed at a younger audience however I feel the less serious gamer will find the design and colors pleasing and enough to keep you around. Woodle Tree 2 Deluxe has a nice control system, with everything easy to remember, Each action is clearly presented to you early on in the game in an area that will require that action to progress, this was nice as a tutorial as it did feel less like learning and more like playing. Overall: Woodle Tree 2: Deluxe+ is a nice game. However with the fustrating moments it can be annoying a bit more often than I would like when looking at a game like this. However if you don't mind the odd frustrating moment in your plat-formers it could be worth looking into especially for the low price of admission.
SummaryA new edition of Woodle Tree 2 is here, with many enhancements! Will you be able to save Mother Nature in this vast open-world Adventure? This time a devastating menace is taking over the Wood Lands with a black substance that is absorbing life and energy from all living creatures!
