    I have giving more time than i normally give to a game that is just terrible but this game got such hype I tried to find why and i've found a game that gives one no reason to continue past the opening couple mins. The story is dumb and the gameplay offers nothing that we've not seen hundreds of times before and in those hundreds of times it was done better.     I partly enjoyed my time with Hi Fi Rush but the lack of enemy variety, uninspired dialogue (especially the robots), stale text logs that attempt to build up this dystopian-lite world, and too similar environments make it an overall bad experience. I beat the first boss fight thinking, “Hey that was kinda fun!” but then it went right back to the unbearable snarky meta humor that isI partly enjoyed my time with Hi Fi Rush but the lack of enemy variety, uninspired dialogue (especially the robots), stale text logs that attempt to build up this dystopian-lite world, and too similar environments make it an overall bad experience. I couldn’t picture myself every caring for the peppy irreverent main character and I don’t get the appeal honestly. It’s an extremely polished experience I’ll give it that.     Repellant characters are so insufferable that even good dynamics wouldn't help this game. I'm a drummer so I gravitate towards rhythm games, so the combat is OK. But there is so much awful dialogue from a character that seems like the 'heroic' version of the incel from high school who refused to shower.

    I tried to like it, I kept at it for 2 hours before I uninstalled.

    The rhythm combat is terrible, and the timing is way off on any and all HDTV just like with Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and Metal Hellsinger. Honestly I'm surprised Shinji Mikami helped make this game. I guess it's true. Once you go Xbox exclusive the quality of games goes downhill big time. So sad.

    Es un machaca botones, la jugabilidad es mediocre y el juego es repetitivo. Perdí 3 horas de mi vida en esta basura, me dejé llevar por los buenos comentarios que tiene el juego, supongo que para gustos colores, pero entendería que niños de preescolar lo puedan disfrutar.

    O jogo em si é repetitivo na sua gameplay e cenários, demonstrando a preguiça que existiu no seu desenvolvimento. Claramente projetado para inflar o catálogo da GP. Em se falando de um jogo exclusivo para os consoles MS, ter um videogame de 12 teraflops para se contentar com este nível de jogo. A que ponto a Bethesda chegou.

    This type of character design has been done before too much already, please leave the 80s behind already. We need to move forward with more character development and need more new game mechanics that is not borrowed from Sunset Overdrive or Jetset radio. This is boring . It is time to push the envelope in character design , narration, and play mechanics.

    They were smart to not give codes to reviewers. The game is a dumpster fire and luckily It's on gp.
    Dropping it the way they did was to avoid reviews altogether.

    Thank god I didn't waste money of this mobile game.

    This is what happens when a company (ms) doesn't feel the need to make quality games.

    The game is “free” but full of cringe… 3 hour long campaign where you play as a teenage boy with personality issues that want to be a reggaetón singer but his cat that turns into a basketball takes him into playing rock… based on the rock band series with cartoon touch.. I do not recommend playing this…..

    Impressively, this game doesnt live upto the hype. The difficulty scaling is awful. Even on the hardest difficulty it poses absolutely no challenge. Graphically on par with 360 games. Freezes in some areas. Camera controls are bad. I will add however that dispite this very low review, it may appeal to kids and people who arent as experienced with video games.

    Recently tried this after reading a lot of hype over social media. I played around 1 hour and couldn’t carry on, I found the combat to be really tedious and basic. The anime art style is nice but the game just didn’t do it for me.

    I used to have this game, HI-FI Rush Digital Edition, on Xbox, until Xbox banned my whole gamertag 15+ year old account with over $10k in digital games, movies, tv series, dlc all for something I posted in a GAME REVIEW yet they cant quote me as to what exactly I said and respond to my BBB complaint with "we have no obligation to provide evidence" when I violate their fragile "TOS". The multi-billion dollar business has no obligation to provide valid evidence for something so permanent as a PERMAMENT SUSPENSION FROM ACCESSING ANY OF YOUR PAID FOR CONTENT ON THEIR SYSTEM?!?! The thing is...you CANT leave any real hateful comments and cuss words in reviews or XBOX doesn't even even save them, just blanks it out like you didn't type anything at all. Also I would've never said anything that warrants this kind of permament suspension, at worst I was talking crap on EAs Sims 4 predatory gaming practices of cutting a main game up and selling it to you in 20-$40 "game & expansion packs". So the suspension is complete BS, groups of circle jerks can get together and report something you typed as offensive and it auto-bans you and some lame gamer on a power-trip volunteering for their "ambassador" program (more circle jerks with fragile egos) reviews the ban and appeal. Boycott Xbox, they don't deserve your money with their "woke" parenting of even the lamest of things like GAME REVIEWS. I literally cant even sign into my account to access offline content, its ALL GONE thanks to an Abusive system MS lets auto-handle, the first miss steps of "AI". Buyers BEWARE.… Expand

    I tried it because I wanted to see what the hype was about, so here is my review thinking it was the same as metal hellsinger, but sadly it is not, the game itself has good graphics that is all that it has. The button are too simple after finishing it l basically wasted my time, giving it a one score is too generous. Maybe it's for other people because this was not my taste.

No original ideas, bad gameplay, everything feels like a QTE, bad story, characters are weak and one-dimensional, stuttering issues, doesn’t allow for diversity in gameplay, shallow exploration, no lock-on in a third person action game. Just avoid this game.

    This game lives up to the hype. The world concept and art are some of the best I've seen in a decade, and the performance optimization is nothing short of miraculous for a startup company founded to make this game. The gameplay is also a well rounded FPS action game that is reliably fun.

    Ich kann den Hype durch die Xbox-Fanboy-Brille absolut nicht verstehen. HIFI-Rush besticht durch langweiliges Gameplay. Die Charaktere sind total lieblos. Kämpfe wiederholen sich immer wieder. Am Anfang noch interessant aber nach 20 Minuten ist man schon davon genervt

    What you will remember about Hi-Fi Rush is just how charming it is. It’s so rare for a game from one of the major developers to take a creative risk, and Hi-Fi Rush does just that. Not only is the core of the game innovative, but the way each character is written takes a big risk of having people switch off before they develop and you grow to love them. I hope Hi-Fi Rush is incredibly successful. I hope it teaches the industry that creative innovation can also create profits, and we see more new and interesting ideas from the big boys in the future.

    For someone who also works in music journalism, my skills are shaky, to say the least. But, having taken the time to improve these skills, I now feel better equipped to appreciate the game for what it is: a fun, quirky, sometimes weird, and often cheesy critique of capitalism. When I was less focused on how perfectly I was playing, I had a much better time headbanging through each stage. Just give me a wider variety of music next time and I’m sold.
