It’s not exactly a sequel, but more of a standalone expansion pack with improved gameplay. Get it!
Diehard fans will probably find the added cards and light quest mode to be worth the investment, but casual "Yu-Gi-Oh" players who already have "Eternal Duelist Soul" may not want to shell out $30 just for a minor update.

This game is a masterpiece. I grew up playing this game as a kid and I still love it to death. The gameplay is amazing and addictive and I consider it to be one the best Yu-Gi-Oh games ever.

After seeing the metascore for this game, I felt compelled to make an account just to write this and give it a 10/10. I had this game as a young teen and played it for hundreds of hours. It's addicting and completely engaging, and if I picked it up and started playing again I would still enjoy myself.

What this game lacks in glitz and glamour, it makes up in structure, skill and longevity.
Don't get me wrong, I do like the game. It's just that perhaps I'll wait until a version with playable God Cards is released before I buy another Yu-Gi-Oh! game.
A serviceable, lightweight entry in the genre. It stays true enough to the source material, which should please fans, but the game's rather dry presentation may make it inaccessible to outsiders.
The graphics and sound are rather bland, and novice players will spend a lot of time blundering through their mistakes until they figure out how to play the game through trial and error. Not much fun at all.
One of the best. Pretty good. Should start out with this series on GBA. Needs harder difficulties. Don't need to buy packs and just win them, makes it better than the future versions.

Rock solid yu-gi-oh game based on the original era of cards. Plenty of cards, plenty of characters, an evolving meta, and a hidden secret plot. Let's go.

You can only make so many Yu-Gi-Oh games before they get terrible and this is a prime example of that. You have to grind out playing for hours in order to advance in the pathetic story and even then its over as soon as you know it. Its just another pathetic game imo.
