The gloom is practically enveloping. But, in the end, is it really all about hope? Black Crab is more than sufficiently gripping to make you want to see it through and find out.
In her recent roles, like Lamb and the imminent You Will Not Be Alone, Rapace has expressed boundless terror and awe in the pursuit of existential questions about being human. In Black Crab, she reminds us with steely resolve that she’s incredibly capable at performing toughness, too.

Black Crab is a 2022 Swedish dystopian action thriller film.
The film has good casting. directing and acting.
The plot is bleak and will be a matter of taste. In my opinion, I can't say this film has a significant social or political or any other point - but, that does not mean that some individuals won't appreciate it.

Noomi Rapace plays a speed skater who's enlisted for a covert mission in this future world. The assignment is to transport an important package thru enemy territory to a place where it can be used to end the war. She and 5 others set out skating across the frozen Swedish archipelago. Of course, their trek is filled with all manner of peril, most of which is well-staged. Even so, the "cold" style prevents any genuine thrills.

The movie is less successful at making its plot feel genuinely meaningful, rather than a simple delivery device for chases and shootouts. Still, for those who could use a break from real explosions on the news, the fake ones in “Black Crab” are well-crafted, exciting and mostly harmless.
There’s a vague moral here that it’s better to die than be in service to corrupt methods of governance, but “Black Crab” doesn’t do enough world-building for that point to feel adequate. If only Berg had some of Joon-ho’s signature class-oriented relish, this frigid journey might be more worthwhile.
Noomi is good, the supporting “types” perfectly serviceable, the look — that killer image of combat team skating into the darkness from their base as it is being bombed to bits — arresting. But that ending? It’s a bust.
Those craving some gloomy, unforgiving post-apocalyptic drama might get a kick out of what's on display here. Everyone else might want to scurry away. You know, like a crab in the dark.
A pacifist parable taking a brave stand against nothing, totally removed from the sociocultural landscape of today’s Sweden, it sounds out like one of Caroline’s screams into the howling Scandinavian wind – impassioned, futile, heard by no one.

A imersão no cinema pode ser conseguida de várias formas, tanto privilegiando a forma como o conteúdo. Às vezes um bom roteiro ajuda muito, ou o elenco. Independentemente do viés escolhido, a premissa é, por vezes, fundamental.
Neste filme de Adam Berg, que tem mais experiência com videoclipes, fica nítida sua predilação às cenas rápidas e de ação, com pouco desenvolvimento dos personagens (alguns sequer sabemos o nome). Seria normal se eles não estivessem lutando pela sobrevivência e se não fosse a missão muito estapafúrdia (de simples mesmo).
Assim, não comprada a ideia e desenvolvendo de forma rasa não apenas os personagens, mas o contexto ao qual estão inseridos, o filme torna-se medíocre, você praticamente não se importa com nada do que é mostrado, e a fotografia escura não ajuda em nada a tornar a experiência ao menos mais bonita. A tentativa de soar ficção científica e meter uma arma biológica na história precisaria de certo desenvolvimento para tornar-se eficaz. Só deixa tudo muito aborrecido mesmo, dá a sensação de ser um projeto piloto de algum cineasta inexperiente. Filme totalmente esquecível e sem nada a dizer, pois mesmo referências geopolíticas, que poderiam deixá-lo mais atrativo, soam infantis demais para serem levadas a sério.

This movie was absolutely boring from the start. Like, it makes absolutely no sense to me, it left me with far more questions than answers. There are huge gaping holes in the plot, essentials that are never explained. The writing is very poor as well which is turn makes the acting poor. Do not waste your time with this, skip it.
