Howery’s line readings sound improvised, and that’s a good thing. He’s the ebullient, fast-talking spark plug of a formula comedy with a cheap engine, though one that putters along harmlessly enough.
Consider Dashing Through the Snow more of a disappointing stocking stuffer than an exciting present under the tree.
In film-making as in gift-giving, it’s the thought that counts, and there’s not much to go around in here.
