This movie is beautiful and heart warming.. and the music is spectacular. You can't go wrong with watching this film.

Encanto has a few nifty plot pivots and surprising reveals, but it’s the animation itself that steals the show.
Vibrant visuals, a stack of stellar songs, and a story with real heart make for another Disney banger. Sixty films in, the Mouse House still has that magic.
While the narrative doesn’t totally land, the voice cast is solid and the vibe is consistently joyous.
Encanto takes on a complicated, mature topic—multigenerational family dysfunction—and dramatizes it in ways that are simultaneously literal and metaphorical, which is something only the best of Pixar usually manages to pull off. Here, the result is at once limited and meandering, underexplored and overstuffed.
There are some nice moments and sweet showtunes, but Encanto feels like it is aspiring to exactly that sort of bland frictionless perfection that the film itselfis solemnly preaching against, with a contrived storyline which wants to have its metaphorical cake and eat it.
Okay, I don't usually write reviews (not for movies, anyway) but like wow. This movie was one of if not the best Disney movie I've ever seen. First of all, the animation quality was spectacular. Everything was so realistic and detailed yet so Disney-like at the same time. I felt like I was in the movie. Second, the cast for this movie is amazing. Their voices match the diverse personalities of their characters and their singing voices are great. Third, Lin Manuel Miranda did a terrific job with the songs in the movie. I loved every song and some of them, especially "We Don't Talk About Bruno" gave me chills because of how good it was written. Also, there are so many little details during the songs in the movie that make the songs so much more fun.

Encanto **** as*! It is so…shallow. Not to mention that half of it doesn’t make sense. Some of the characters have character flaws amped up to 11 so forgiving them is impossible. I will give credit where credit is due though. The soundtrack for this movie is generally good. Some songs are great, but most are just catchy. I feel that you have to be a real music nerd to enjoy most of this movie. Which I am not. Much prefer Coco. But again, Disney went to new heights for the music. Some of which, like Surface Pressure, was a little too poppy for me. But either way, they went all in on the music and it payed off well. The music was what kept me watching the movie and is the only reason I didn’t give Encanto a 1. The animation and overall appearance of the movie was incredible. And the environments were so well crafted.

It was ok, this is just my perspective, but there was just way to much singing. I look at coco, and there was singing there, but not to the point where it takes up a good chunk of the film, and that's the lore you get from these characters in Encanto? With mostly singing? Like cmon we hardly got to know much about the buff girl, or anyone for that matter, other than mirabele . And then just horrible how everyone treated Bruno, just because he tells the truth. I'm actually more interested in the thousand day war that was taking place in Colombia during the grandmother's younger days. Anyways this just falls way behind compared to coco, but that's just my opinion.
