Merry Little Batman has every potential to become a new festive favourite: a delightful Bat-gift that will have viewers longing for future holiday specials featuring Little Batman.
Geared very much to younger audiences, it’s fast-paced to the point of freneticism. But it boasts an arresting visual style, its animation heavily indebted to the satirical drawings of Ronald Searle.

A lot of people gave this movie crap when it first got revealed due to its more lighthearted, kid-friendly, Christmas special aesthetic; if you were one of those people...Grow up! Kids deserve to enjoy superheroes too without needing to watch these massive action **** frankly, they can do better than a lot of them. In this case, Merry Little Batman is unapologetically fun, charming, and cute! The designs are unique takes on these characters, the animation is strongly stylized and consistent throughout, the plot is well-paced and entertaining, and the jokes are simple, though consistently funny. Also of note is how well all the performers do, with the big highlight in my mind belonging to David Hornsby as the Joker. Honestly the only thing wrong with the movie is its fairly by the numbers and a tad too long for its own good, but neither bogged down the experience for me.

With energetic voice performances from the main cast, a humorous tone that doesn't overstay its welcome, and dynamic action that seamlessly goes from one fight to the next, Merry Little Batman is a lovely exploration of the mythology behind The Dark Knight, showing the cutest side of the relationship he has with his son.
Cute and quippy, Merry Little Batman is an adorably silly holiday goof on DC/Warner Brothers’ most valuable comic book franchise.
Just in time for the holidays, writers Morgan Evans (Teen Titans Go!) and Jase Ricci have found the perfect balance of heart and hilarity in this cartoon caper.
The heart and charm is there, Its simple and fun for what it is. Luke Wilson is such a goofy Batman choice.

Great soundtrack.Love the punk stuff. Voice casting was spot on.I didn't like the British style **** has always creeped me out. Especially Beetles Yellow Submarine. The subliminal anti-rich white man stuff was unnecessary, but seems to make its way into everything these days.
