A civics lesson about integration very artfully - and entertainingly - disguised as an upbeat family sports movie.
Only a very stony heart could resist its pull.

Ignore the Metascore critics and pay attention to the user score critics for this film. Remember the Titan(2000) is an amazing and well made film with great humor and lesson about race equality.

This is probably the best sports film I've ever seen. Just a great ensemble cast that grows more and more comfortable with each other as time goes on. Denzel Washington is not exactly but he seems to tone himself down because there are points in the film where he does not need to be the star of the show. All the members of the cast undergo some significant development in this movie and its a true inspiration.

Has the outer form of a brave statement about the races in America, but the soul of a sports movie in which everything is settled by the obligatory last play in the last seconds of the championship game.
This mix of sweat and uplift in the Civil Rights era doesn't quite come off, despite some strong performances and the fact that it's based on a genuinely inspirational true story.
A shrewd, pulpy crowd-pleaser.
Bruckheimer's latest is in some crucial respects worse than those earlier blockbuster bids ("Gone in 60 Seconds" and "Coyote Ugly") -- certainly it's more fraudulent -- because unlike those films, which don't claim to be about anything other than thrills and tits, Remember the Titans means to be about race.
So smug and so proud of itself, and you can tell that everybody involved conceives of it as a civics lesson instead of a story, that they squeeze all the life out of it.
Are the metacritics just ignorant or what? How does this movie not have 90metascore (atleast), This is one of the best movies ever made. I can watch this movie over and over again, without being bored. Simply, amazing.

I think you should ignore the critics on this one. This is definitely one of my favorite movies! I can watch this movie over and over again. The story is absolutely great! Personally I like football a lot, which makes this movie even more appealing to me. And the fact that it's all based on actual events from 1971, makes this movie to what it is; a masterpiece! A must-see!!

A African American and cacausion coach must put aside there racial differences to coach one of the worse teams in their school. They soon become one of the hottest teams and best teams to ever play for the school. Until tragedy strikes. The saddest thing is this is a true story.
