Sometimes a dumb action comedy can work perfectly well as a one-off, particularly if its writers and director can pull off the illusion that they didn’t have to work hard to earn our laughs. But The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard is all work and no payday. Even in the service of airheaded entertainment, no one should feel compelled to take a bullet for it. It’s OK to let a franchise die. I think that people need to see what this movie is for what it is, a over the top cheesy action movie that’s meant to entertain you. And I think it did a great job of that.

I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. Every time Ryan, Samuel, and Salma open their mouth it becomes a big laugh moment. The trio is just perfect and the performance of Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L Jackson, and Salma Hayek was so so so good. The story wasn't great as the first movie but it was hell funny and full of bloody action sequences. There was some crazy car chasing scenes and big explosions. The VFX and the Cinematography were excellent.

I like the addition of Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo, my favorite, and Antonio Banderas. They all added more fun to this movie. I don't understand the hate for this movie. It was an interesting and entertaining movie from start to end. It's full of continuous action and jokes. I just loved it.… Expand

Saw Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard tonight and it was really good. The action scenes were awesome and the writing was really funny. The performances from Salma Hayek, Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Frank Grillo was excellent, so entertaining.

The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, a sequel to the surprise hit that was its predecessor. The first movie had to be taken with a grain of salt, but the sequel has gone into Fast and Furious levels of ridiculousness. It is funny some of the time, but it feels disjointed from the seriousness ofThe Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, a sequel to the surprise hit that was its predecessor. Kincaid and Bryce are existing besides each other. Despite their chemistry and rivalry in the first movie, Samuel L. Jackson seems to phone it in for this movie. Salma Hayek takes centre stage, and Bryce is the target of ridicule. The AAA bodyguard status, which i thought was a joke and not real in the first movie, is pulled out of proportion. The movie turns into a parody on the first movie. It is funny at times, though it is hard to be immersed like with the first movie. I give it a 6/10.… Expand

It is what it is, if you expect anything above average you're watching the wrong movie.
Reynolds and Jackson, once again, are playing various versions of themselves.
It was cool to see Hayek and Banderas on screen again, and the flash back scenes were a cool nod to Desperado. Hayek wasIt is what it is, if you expect anything above average you're watching the wrong movie.

Hayek was comical, for multiple reasons, for the majority of the movie her. . . assets were falling all over the place, she loved it and was clearly, thoroughly on board with it.
If you got it, flaunt it.
On a whole, the movie is a middle of the road action comedy that no one really wanted.… Expand

half way through the movie i started to puke, it was so horrendously bad, with Hayek constantly using f* word like a machine gun. i have yet to see a movie worse than this one. avoid it like a plague.
