Assuming you love animals — hell, even if you don’t — this is one of the best buddy movies ever made.
About as gentle, warm and lovely a color movie as any pet owner could wish at least, for the kids.
Sheila Burnford’s book of the same title has been given a vivid translation in The Incred ible Journey, a live actioner exquisitely photographed in the Canadian outdoors.
Featuring some astonishing acting from the highly trained animal stars and some beautiful shots of the Canadian high country, this simply told, episodic tale is great for kids and not too bad for big people either.
Triumphantly painful Disney adventure; guaranteed to sear the memory, in spite of the 'Derek the Lonely Dingo'-style narration that has always stood for 'nature' in Walt's wonderful world.
