Troll has a blockbuster polish without the Hollywood heaviness. The story’s nothing special; but the action is spry, the characters are likable and the emphasis on Scandinavian folklore keeps Troll from becoming just another generic “Godzilla”/“Jurassic Park” riff.

Roar Uthaug is not a director who seems destined for greater, grander epics, and that’s one of his best qualities. He makes polished B-movies without the delusions of A-list grandeur.

Por más que esta película parezca una típica película de monstruos pero proveniente de la región escandinava, es entretenida y tiene buenos efectos especiales y de sonido, es de 10 comparada con Jurassic World Dominion.

norwegian directors are improving their capabilities much more than Hollywood colleagues. one clear example is Roar Uthaug , a relatively young fellow that has in his backpack some very, very interesting movies

Since a creature feature lives and dies by its monster, Troll has the clear advantage of conjuring a magnificent beast from Scandinavian folklore. Of course, that might not be enough for viewers looking for something fresh to watch. Even so, Uthaug ultimately succeeds in developing a movie that’ll most likely please fans of giant creatures.

The worst thing you can say about the new Roar Uthaug (“The Wave,” “Tomb Raider”) thriller Troll is that “It’s no ‘Trollhunter.'” It lacks the wit and the mismatch peril of André Øvredal’s classic rock-bodied creature feature of 2010. So “dumb,” sure. “Fun?” Not so much.

I just watched it on Netflix and I have to say it was pretty good. Nora is such a good actress but what I loved about this is that fairy tales so come true if you believe. I wonder if they will come out with troll 2, the reason why is that it was a cliffhanger. Like now I'm wondering, will Nora take your father foot steps and find embrace the magic. I hope they make a second one to it. I would love to see what else happens

This was okay, although too many similarities to King Kong for my liking. CGI was decent.

Not even mediocre due to bad casting. A bad english dub that looked like it was filmed in america with how many non-whites were pointlessly shoehorned in. Did netflix make them do this? Would have been 5/10 without that.

A dumb film that tries so hard to be the Norwegian equivalent of 'Godzilla.' The humor is so bad it looks like a 2000's movie. The Roar Uthaugh that shined with 'The Wave' is gone; now he's becoming the new Uwe Boll.
