Keep reading to learn how much Hulu costs and how you can save money with the current deals and bundles available.

What is Hulu?

Hulu is a popular streaming service that gives subscribers access to a large library of TV episodes, movies, and original titles. There's plenty to watch, and some of the best movies on Hulu and best shows on Hulu include award winners, blockbusters, and Indie darlings. The company is owned by Disney and offers a variety of plans and bundles to choose from so that everyone can find a plan that's right for them. Some of Hulu's most popular offerings include its basic ad-supported plan and its Hulu + Live TV plan, which can be a replacement for your current cable service.

How much does Hulu cost?

So how much is Hulu? The Hulu price varies, because the streamer offers several different plan options, each of which comes with its own price tag. Hulu plans start at just $7/mo. Here are the different Hulu plans and their different costs:

Hulu compared

Plan Monthly price
Hulu (Ad-Supported) $7/mo.
Hulu (No Ads) $13/mo.
Hulu + Live TV (Ad-Supported) $70/mo.
Hulu + Live TV (No Ads) $76/mo.

Hulu (Ad-Supported)

Hulu's lowest-priced plan will cost $7/mo. This plan is Hulu's most popular, according to the company's website.

This Hulu plan includes access to Hulu's full streaming library with thousands of TV episodes and movies. Subscribers can watch new network TV episodes the day after they air on cable and enjoy Hulu Originals. This plan allows subscribers to have up to six user profiles and watch on up to two screens at the same time, available on TVs, laptops, phones, and tablets.

Hulu (No Ads)
The Hulu (No Ads) plan costs $13/mo. The Hulu (No Ads) plan comes with all of the same benefits and features as the basic Hulu plan, with two additions. First, it allows subscribers to watch movies and TV episodes without ads. It also allows subscribers to download and watch select titles offline.

Hulu + Live TV (Ad-Supported)
Hulu + Live TV has a price tag of $70/mo. The Hulu + Live TV plan comes with all of the same benefits and features as the basic Hulu plan. It also allows subscribers to watch live TV with more than 85 top channels. Subscribers can use a TV guide to navigate the channels and record live TV with unlimited Cloud DVR storage. Meanwhile, the Hulu + Live TV plan includes Disney+ and ESPN+, as well.

Hulu + Live TV (No Ads)
Hulu (No Ads) + Live TV is the most expensive of Hulu's plans, with a price tag of $76/mo. This plan comes with all of the same benefits and features of the Hulu + Live TV plan, but subscribers won't see ads on the on-demand movies and TV episodes they watch. And just like Hulu + Live TV (Ad-Supported), this plan also gives you access to Disney+ and ESPN+ for free.

How do I sign up for a Hulu free trial?

Hulu offers free trials for each of its plans so that new subscribers can test out the service before they start paying for a plan. Hulu's free trials are available to new subscribers, as well as eligible returning subscribers.

To use a Hulu free trial, you'll have to sign up for an account, which you can do from the website or app. You'll also have to provide your payment details (though you won't be charged for anything during the duration of the free trial). If you don't cancel your Hulu subscription before the end of the free trial, the company will automatically charge you for the service moving forward.

The length of the free trial depends on the type of plan you have. The Hulu (Ad-Supported) and Hulu (No Ads) plans offer 30-day free trials, while the Hulu + Live TV (Ad-Supported) and Hulu + Live TV (No Ads) plans have no free trials available — unfortunately.

Current Hulu deals and bundles

Hulu offers several bundles that allow subscribers to combine Hulu with another service to save money. There are currently three Hulu bundles available.

The Disney Bundle

The Disney Bundle gives subscribers access to three different streamline services with just one plan. Included in the bundle is:

  • Hulu: Watch TV episodes and movies from Hulu's streaming library. You can customize your Disney Bundle to include the Hulu plan of your choice.
  • Disney+: Stream TV episodes, movies, and short-form titles from Disney and other brands, including Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm (Star Wars), Muppets, and more.
  • ESPN+: Watch live and on-demand sports titles directly through the Hulu app.

Pricing for the Disney Bundle starts at just $14/mo., but may increase depending on the Hulu plan you choose to bundle with it.

Spotify Premium for Students + Hulu and Showtime
The Spotify and Hulu Student Bundle allows students to gain access to Spotify, Hulu, and Showtime, all for only $2/mo. This bundle is currently only available to Spotify Premium for Student subscribers. When subscribers sign up for this bundle, they're billed for all three services together through Spotify. This bundle is only available for the most basic Hulu plan and can't be used with Hulu (No Ads) or Hulu + Live TV.

Hulu with Sprint Unlimited

Is Hulu worth it?

Ultimately, the answer to whether Hulu is worth it really depends on your situation and whether you'll use the service. Hulu is one of the top streaming services — thanks to the variety of titles, the affordable starting price, and the variety of plans available.

And because plans start at just $7/mo., it's likely that most people will get their money's worth if they use the streaming service regularly. Additionally, the Disney Bundle can definitely be worth it if you're using the three services (Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+) to watch a variety of titles in your household.

The Hulu sign up can be found here, including the Hulu free trial, which will help you decide if it's the right streamer for you.
