Zelda: Breath of the Wild introduces clever ideas, it's like a breath of fresh air for the series - one of the best action-adventures in video game history.

It raises the bar in almost all areas to a new level, which will probably be impossible to beat for all competitors at least in this generation. Red Dead Redemption 2 is another rock star masterpiece and an example of what modern video games are capable of, both narrative and staged, but above all, technically capable. The best game for this console generation so far.

Super Mario Odyssey is a platformer masterpiece full of surprises, jokes and ideas, and a must have for any switch owner. Video game magic...Nintendo has created a modern classic.

The worlds are beautiful, the combat system is fun throughout, and the story remains exciting. It's a successful overhaul. God of War manages the balancing act between modern action RPG and classic feel.

A huge, weird, elaborate, gloomy, and thrilling masterpiece and the new king of JRPGs.

It's rare that developers actually keep the promises they made at fairs and preview events. A fantastic conclusion to the series. Nathan Drake's biggest and best adventure is a must-have.

The fact that the actual gameplay still remains so accessible, balanced and still deep, is a special feat. For skeptics, the Smash series has a reputation as a chaotic party game. However, Ultimate underlines once again that complexity and straightforward fun need not be mutually exclusive.

Inside is a enormously atmospheric platformer with puzzles, with a great graphical style, and it's thrilling until the end.

Thanks to small but important optimizations, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best version of an already great racer.

Enormously atmospheric mix of skills and puzzles with a great graphic style which captivates to the end on the switch, too.

I love the mix of exploring, racing and ancillary tasks, coupled with the great driving physics and the audiovisual fireworks (heaven!)

The action-adventure has never been better, never was it more meaningful than in this remake. With the help of a modern presentation aimed at promoting the strengths of the original and not just obscuring legacies, the Bluepoint Games developers have managed to bring the feel to the PS4. Even those who have already killed all 16 colossi will find, here, a new level of melancholy, which was not felt on the PS2 or even the PS3.

For a long time we had to wait for a worthy remake of Resident Evil 2 and to get straight to the point, every single day was more than worth it. Capcom delivers the most effective remake of all time, both visually and playfully, aimed at die-hard fans of the series as well as novices in the survival genre. The bloody splatter fireworks combined with great light and shadow effects and a sound design that miraculously supports the horror create a special atmosphere that players rarely experience.

If you are willing to invest work in learning the combat system, you will have a lot of fun. Away from this, Sekiro, like his spiritual predecessors, convinces with a fascinating setting that does not match the quality and variety of game worlds like Lordran or Yharnam. Technically, however, the game presents itself from a single source, tells an exciting story and offers sufficient scope for many fun hours.

With Tetris Effect Mizuguchi has set another monument and designed probably the best Tetris experience ever. I have not had so much fun with Tetris since the first Game Boy.

In terms of story and characters, Devil May Cry 5 is a double-edged sword. The coolness factor fits in comparison to the reboot and does not seem unnecessarily set up. The story itself, however, has little to offer and does not pull me through the game.
