"Family Guy" isn't for everyone. Obviously. It's also not as fully-realized or intelligent as "The Simpsons." It's extremely fast-paced and obsessed with a nonstop stream of jokes, jokes, jokes. And the humor is often hit and miss. But when it hits, look out. [29 Jan 1999]
What can I say, I love this TV show. I can't get enough of it. It makes me laugh and it always is great background noise when I'm doing other stuff too.
Utterly excremental. ... May the room in which "Family Guy" is drawn be sacked, emptied, disinfected and burned to a cinder. Anything to keep them from making any more episodes of this smug and amateurish tripe. [30 Jan 1999]
Family Guy is a very very great show ever. It is very hilarious and interesting to watch. I can't find a possible way to hate this comedy show. Luckily there's a family guy.
La mejor serie animada después de Los Simspon. Sin duda, la primera temporada es la mas floja y simple de la serie, los que quieran ver el auténtico espíritu de la serie que la empiecen a ver en la temporada 4 o 5. A partir de ahí es brutal.
If you value your morals than stay away from this show. Seth MacFarlane is not afraid to give the world a show that isn't just stupid, but just down-right degrading. It's basically The Simpsons but without the same level of charisma or comedic gold of its hey-day.
The show is (as I pointed out) a remake of The Simpsons and like most remakes it pares in comparison to the original. At this time and age The Simpsons is starting to decline in quality, leaving more room for this thing to gain popularity.
While there are some mildly funny jokes here and there and some major laughs, it is all-around boring. Every episode centers around either Peter, Stewie, or Brian, and presents a situation that must be dealt with, through some rather different means, that's it, that is the description.
The jokes are boring and lazily written and are always presented through cut-away gags, which drives this show. Don't get me wrong, they're starting to use less this season, but when the show first started to air we had gag after gag after gag after gag after gag, and it just keeps going.
DO NOT let your kids watch this show. Teens these days will tell you that this show is funny, but what do they know? Would you watch a show that makes fun of your sexuality, religion, or other personal aspect without having a good reason to? I didn't think so.
All in all, you are better off watching The Simpsons (Seasons 3-10) or South Park. At least those shows present a current issue and solve it through evidence, lampooning, and offensive opinion. Hey, don't call me a hypocrite, those shows are far superior.
bad show! not funny overrated stupid boring at times and not very good. offensive humor and sometimes not real comedy. it goes way too far a lot. from racist to stereotypical to offensive. the jokes get old real easily and most of them are cruel. its more jokes making fun of people and saying ha ha to every single well known person out there than it is stupid jokes. i used to love the show when i was younger, until i understood the jokes better and realized what they were mocking. this show is evil and Seth Macfarlane is a giant liberal maniac!
