Had no idea this existed but man oh man am I glad I randomly found it. Saw no promotion for it which is very unfortunate. Animation, story, voice work. 10/10. This one functions best as a season so I hope people watch to the end. Season 2 please.
Just finished this brilliant series and I simply can not believe more people aren't talking about it. I can't think of anything else like it. With most adult animation geared toward your inner adolescent (I like those shows too!) this is a breath of grounded non fart joke original IP fresh air. Please give it a chance, I must see where it goes
Another show where the Main Character is an unlikable jerk, yet somehow also relatable. Everyone else is even more of a jerk, and things keep going wrong for MC, sometimes because of their own bad decisions but usually because of unfortunate situations beyond their control.
When well-done, these shows can be hilarious and deep satires. I'm a huge fan of, for instance, "Bojack Horseman" and "Life & Times of Tim". However, despite being marketed as a "comedy", "Fired on Mars" has literally no jokes. None. I'm on the third episode and there hasn't been a single joke yet. It's just one anxiety-inducing situation after another about the MC's life going down the drain due to everyone (including him) being horrible people. It reminds me of the movie "All My Friends Hate Me", which was equally unfunny.
I really don't understand the positive reviews as this show doesn't really have any redeeming qualities.
