If Lumley doesn’t quite act Keegan off-screen, she is nonetheless fantastically formidable. Throw in a plot that moves like a slinky on steroids and you have a post-Christmas thriller to cherish.
Fool Me Once has enough potential for some intriguing plot twists, and more than enough solid performances, to make up for some awkward dialogue and plot points that feel like they’re going to unnecessarily complicate things.

Fool Me Once is junk food television. .... The breakneck pace and dull predictability at which the shocks come only makes the series feel dumbed down.
It’s TV that has the capacity to shock you – not because the plot is shocking, but because you’re shocked it’s still on.
Intriguing premise let down by slow pacing, and some less than stellar performances. A few plot points made less sense - was this based on a Coben novel? Could explain if so. Otherwise a medium to good watch, but just not ultimately engaging.
