Newly engaged Mindy returns from her volunteer mission in Haiti to New York for emergency surgery, only to find a new doctor has taken her place. Meanwhile, Danny and Christina's relationship continues to deteriorate.

Mindy challenges Paul for a chance to win back her old office. Danny joins a support group to help him get over his breakup with Christina.

Mindy struggles to cope with Casey's new career choice. While most of the hospital staff attend a music festival, a new doctor comes to the rescue as Jeremy and Tamra struggle to cope with the workload.

Morgan sues Mindy for sexual harassment after she backs out of testing his theory that whoever sleeps with him finds the love of their life immediately afterwards. Danny wants Peter out of the practice.

Mindy begins dating an Arts and Culture writer, however when he discerns that she is not cultured enough for him, she decides to invite him to Christina's art show, which features nude photos of Danny.

Mindy tries to get to know Peter better as he competes in a wrestling tournament, while Morgan and Tamra bond.

When Danny tells Mindy she is too picky and judgemental of other people, she tries to prove him wrong by going on a date with her complete opposite. Jeremy is distressed when his dad visits the practice and takes an interest in Peter.

When Mindy tells Danny about a crush on someone in their building, he becomes convinced she is talking about him. Meanwhile, Morgan and Peter find Mindy's missing purse and use her phone to engage in a raunchy text conversation with Cliff.

When one of Danny's patients paints the hospital in a racist light on her blog, Jeremy hires a PR guru to control the situation. Meanwhile, Morgan seeks Cliff's forgiveness for not deleting the raunchy texts sent to Mindy.

Mindy is invited to her ex-boyfriend Josh's wedding and brings Peter as her date. Danny's younger brother comes to visit New York.

Mindy plans a Christmas party for the entire building so she can spend more time with Cliff, however, Brendan's date Maria Menounos steals Mindy's thunder by performing a seductive "Santa Baby" dance for the party guests.

With Danny as her fitness coach, Mindy attempts to get in shape for a weekend getaway with Cliff. Meanwhile, an ill Jeremy takes some time off work and leaves Peter in charge.

Jeremy sends Mindy, Danny, Peter and Morgan to Los Angeles to receive cosmetic injectables certification. Once there, Danny becomes concerned about running into his father, and Mindy runs into her ex-fiance, Casey.

Following their breakup, Mindy is determined to return to New York to win Cliff back, however Danny tricks her into accompanying him to meet his estranged father. Meanwhile, Peter and Morgan get stuck in the bathroom at the hospital.

Mindy and Danny realize that they are into each other after sharing a few physical affections, but Cliff gets in their way and wants Mindy back.

Mindy and Danny move on. Mindy forms a girl crush on an Obgyn to the stars. The doctors from Shulman's Women's Health Associates head to an under-served community to offer free check-ups.
