There is an immense amount of care to this story, which shines in its nuanced tone—it’s not as plainly silly as its absurdity guarantees.
The Netflix documentary is so horrifically addicting you’ll be like a cat at feeding time. Never mind some of the seven-part series’ editing or focus. The production pulls you in because the characters are so unabashedly brazen. They don’t just talk about their hatred. They openly demonstrate it, helping you understand a layer of society you never knew existed.

This show is incredible! It has everything! I binged both seasons and it was incredibly entertaining and satisfying! The direction and editing is top-notch!

Netflix has made a lot of noise with unscripted programming, but it's going to roar with this beyond-bizarre docu-series distraction, which demonstrates that outlandish people who love filming themselves are a formula for TV that's grrrr-reat.
A compelling series in fits and starts that doesn't amount to much more than a trip through an extremely strange world filled with extremely strange people.
We’re just not sure that this is anything but a money grab by them and Netflix. ... We still recommend it to anyone who watched the first season and wants to find out more. But, it certainly isn’t essential watching to anyone, whether they liked the first season or were repulsed by it.
With a story that feels like it’s being made up in the moment, Netflix’s second season of “Tiger King” feels like a blatant grab for cash, hoping to snare all the people that watched the series during the pandemic.
Somehow, they stretch it to five episodes, going over the death of Carole’s second husband, Don Lewis, whom Joe and his crew suspect was murdered by Baskin, and looking at what Jeff Lowe, who took over the park after Joe’s imprisonment, has done with the business. It’s all icky.
You couldn’t write this script; it’s that bizarre. The real life characters are over the top. The pacing is excellent with each episode ending with just enough of a cliffhanger that you just have to watch one more until you’ve been sitting there for five hours and you’re watching the last episode. If you are a true-crime fan, reality show fan, or suspense fan this is for you. Leaves you wanting to talk to others about their opinions on who is guilty and who did what.

Tiger King is something else. On a production level, it’s outstanding. On an entertainment level, it’s gold.
Sure it’s manipulative as hell pushing the redneck hillbilly semi sneer but so what. Who knows what is actually true?
And if you’re interested in knowing all the nooks and crannies of this bizarre story and the unbelievable people involved in it then I suppose you should do your own research, which many people have. Everyone is pretty awful including the so-called simple employees who I think they want us to sympathize with but are too gullible to deserve much empathy in reality. The animals get a bit lost in the story which is a shame but besides that, this is compulsive.
Miles better than anything produced by Netflix in the fiction department. This is where netflix does its best work.

Before this show I did watch evil genius. So I already am familiar with the Netflix 'recipe' for a documentary.
It's a depressive story about character flaws that bundled with life mistakes will eventually crush you with a huge help of COMPETITORS, as there are no good people in the story and nothing really ends good in life. Oh this and that meth rules the america

This is a really cool long form documentary that needs to be seen to be believed. Very much in the vein of other true crime shows that Netflix has done.

I started watching this yesterday and it wasn't bad, I mean the whole thing has a certain weird morbid attractive but being honest the subject wasn't that big of a deal for such a long miniseries.
I got until the end because I don't like to leave things unfinished but I think three good centered hours would've been more than enough.
