An excellent platformer for 3DS and one of the best options for the system. It has tons of contents and joy. The difficulty level is just right.

This Yoshi's port is remarkable in each of every part of the game. The level design continues to be superb, and the handheld environment feels as pure as the original. Probably the best Yoshi's adventure ever seen in a handheld.

I'd first encourage you to play the Wii U version if you have the means, but if you don't own a Wii U, this 3DS take is still great. [Issue #26 – March/April 2017, p.73]

Yoshi's Woolly World is still a funny and colorful platform game, but the screen size and resolution don't allow the original art direction to shine as it should.

This game is fine on 3DS, but we do miss the beautiful cutesy graphics the original offered us on Wii U. It is amazing how Nintendo offers an easier way of playing, while still offering an entertaining game.

While the port offers little for the main mode, it offers much more in side modes; such as the Poochy levels, additional amiibo support, 31 animated shorts and the ability to create your own Yoshi designs. While it seems like little details that could've (and probably should've) been in the Wii U version, those little details are what makes the 3DS version just as good as the Wii U version. All the Wii U's content is present, making it a packed game with more to enjoy. Of course, the graphics can't compare to the Wii U version, but if you're the type of person who cares more about a game's content over it's looks, then this is easily a must have for the 3DS and even worth the second time around if you've already played the Wii U version. I think it is a great gamepersonally i think it is a good game but for some reason i think that it doesn't live up to the Nintendo standards. I think it is a great game for kids but it might be a little complicated. it takes a lot of time to get used to the controls for me and I think that it is too expensive. if you have a wii u you should not buy this version of the game. just get the wii u version instead.
