It’s also a shame that the game descends into almost laughable cliché somewhere in the middle section of Peter’s adventure, with tiresome key searching and predictable enemies.
Somewhat reminiscent of the Genesis classic Alladin, Peter doesn't possess the same precise movement, but the animation and overall level design, which switches between flying with Tink and traditional platforming made better b;y Peter's ability to float, are on par with Disney's best 2D offerings. The gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. The developers didn't put enough effort into control tweaks or collision balancing...and continuity between levels is way too abrupt for a kids game.
The worst part is that, for all the simplistic level goals and unimaginable gameplay, the horrible control almost manages to make this inane garbage somewhat challenging. [May 2002, p.88]
