Flowing Lights is a game that demands planning in advance; these aren’t simply run and gun levels, they are puzzles that need to be solved. And it is having to adapt this mentality that makes Flowing Lights such a unique and fun experience.
Flowing Lights cleverly blends shooting gameplay with physics to make one impressive action-packed puzzle-like arcade experience.
Flowing Lights is quite unique in a number of different ways. An Arcade Puzzle Shooter that will seriously test your skills the whole way through its 200 hand crafted stages and may fool you with its simplistic and bland visuals, its challenge becomes borderline infuriating until you get that inevitable “ah-hah!” moment and see a simple solution all along.
Despite some eye-catchingly colourful visuals, Flowing Lights is unlikely to keep you around for long. Too many niggles in the moment to moment gameplay mean that any fun we might be having is quickly undone by frustrating failure.
Flowing Light is a clever and well-made game that will push your muscle memory and your reflexes to their limits. Merciless at times, this game will please those fond of scoring games and tube shooters. If you fall in that last category, prepare yourself to spend dozens of hours playing it to obtain all the S ranks of a truly well-made adventure. Unfortunately for the others, let’s be honest, this can quickly become a very painful experience. You’ve been warned.
