Doubtless the best flight-sim ever made; startling realism, excellent graphics and addictive gameplay make for an award-winning title.
A hardcore simmer's delight, with superb flight physics and enough detail to please the most finicky realism fanatics, including minutiae such as adjustable fuel mixtures and radiator controls. [June 2003, p.70]
The superior graphics and flight modeling are unmatched, and game's many solitaire and multiplayer options give it long life on the hard drive.
This is easily one of the best combat flight sims you can get and that's even if you already own the original IL-2.
This is either a great standalone expansion pack or a slightly underachieving sequel. [June 2003, p.96]
Isn't really a sequel no matter what it says on the box. It's an expansion pack. Gamers who already own "IL-2 Sturmovik" may balk at the price, as there's simply not enough new here to justify the purchase.
