This game was looking promising about a year ago when the developer was still partnered with New Blood interactive, but as of their splitting that hope has almost completely gone down the drain. Updates have slowed to a snail's pace, and the last major level we got was just a reworking of an existing one. Guns feel functionally the same across categories, every handgun behaves like the others with minor differences in mag size and slightly higher or lower damage. This extends to every class of weapon in the game. The gunplay is fast but very repetitive, eventually dulling down to the point where it feels more like a point and click adventure. Levels also pretty much all play out the same way, with the only major differences between them being the setting. It also feels like there's hardly any escalation of difficulty, as the lack of enemy types and incredibly easy boss fights make each encounter feel the same. I honestly wish I could roll back time and play an earlier version of this game, as it would be almost identical, but would still have the killer soundtrack it used to under New Blood's publishing. With their departure from the project, they took their adrenaline pumping OST with them and what remains is barely noticeable
Needs a lot of work
I like the concepts of the mechanics, things like diving, bullet-time etc, the game is broken right now. I would recommend that you wait until the game is out of early access before buying it.
The game has a cool Hotline Miami feel to it, and the execution is not bad, though the gunplay feels a bit dull.
The thing with this game is that is ridden with bugs, with gameplay critical bugs. You wont be able to pick guns sometimes from the ground, even the already layed out in the map initially. Guns the enemies hold will usually just clip though the ground.
*If* the game didnt had so many bugs, it would be a small, silly-but-cool FPS, but its just unplayable at the current time.
Maybe if the game gets patches it will be playable, but I highly doubt so, since those bugs are critical and would probably require a complete prop mechanic overhaul.
