It plays well, and for a PS2 game it shows a lot of firepower. SCEA is doing something different with the genre, and that is always refreshing. It’s not the best looking or sounding game, but the solid gameplay and entertaining story mode make it worth the time of any fan of the genre.
A decent game that's best played in the story "Life" mode.
Entertainment is entertainment, but since this isn't really an RPG, it would've been nice to see a deeper dynasty mode.
The Life is a flawed, yet fun basketball game that's worth a look for anyone that's searching for a different take on the sport.
Having introduced the revolutionary story-driven basketball title last year, Sony unfortunately takes a few steps back with an unpolished gameplay and severely dated visuals for its sequel.
And while Sony does take an interesting new approach to the basketball genre, I simply cannot recommend NBA 07 at full retail price.
If this is the best basketball game current-gen has to offer than I’m really glad next-gen is already here.
