Aside from the talented AI, there are a lot more impressive game features. One of the first things to come to mind is the incredibly deep playbook and coverage set.
Despite the lacking legacy mode of the game and some issues in the running game, NCAA 2K2 is an incredibly fun play.
A quality football game with an excellent pedigree behind its game engine...the most serious deficiencies being in the undeveloped legacy mode and the horrendously bad commentary.
The lack of a true college feel and the bungling of the option may be enough to discourage many from playing what is otherwise a fine football game.
It just didn't feel as if I was playing college football - the spirit and excitement of defending your school's pride just wasn't there.
An incredible football experience that is derived from a killer engine that's proven its gameplay worth in gold.
Unless you are a fanatical college football fan, there is no reason to own both NCAA 2K2 and "NFL 2K2." NCAA 2K2 is merely "NFL 2K1" with A.I. improvements, and a new coat of paint.
