I'm really sort of shocked by how much I find myself enjoying this game. The difficulty curve seems great, Jetpack Joyride already proved that this payment model works, and I love how they take the foundation that worked so well for Halfbrick but created what feels (and, really, is) an entirely new game around it.
For a game that doesn't ask for a payment up-front, Off The Leash remains rock solid thanks to its simple, yet fun mix of endless runner gameplay with harsh time-limits that push you to the edge of your skill.
Three things make Off The Leash so enjoyable. The first involves running as far as possible to beat your overall distance traveled. The second, collecting coins, lets you spend this loot at the in-game shop. Finally, the game is full of secondary objectives to complete, from picking up 20 dogs to reaching 500 meters.
While not living entirely up to its genre peers, Off the Leash still manages to be a entertaining game of the endless-runner type. The clear and holistic visuals and playful charm helps this title from being simply average.
