Only few creators can show off with such a good remaster as the creators of Age of Empires. The second instalment almost didn’t age, and its already great gameplay was perfected. [Issue#301]

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition offers an overwhelming wealth of content through hundreds of hours of campaigns to play through, refined to make them more entertaining. With an improved AI offering more engaging battles (although it still doesn't understand the concept of diplomacy or trade) as well as improved visuals and audio, drawing you right into them, you'll not find yourself bored at all and will no doubt keep returning to the skirmish modes. At a cheap price and offering so much, it's impossible not to recommend the game. This is what the original Age of Empires: Definitive Edition could have been. As a standalone title, it's fantastic and one that I'd recommend to anybody and everybody.

Beautiful new graphics and many game improvements guarantee that this, the Definitive Edition, is by far the best way to experience the legendary Age of Empires II. Even the new content is awesome. Shame about the intermittent lagging and a small multiplayer player pool.

It is the best version of an epic game that has made the history of RTS and the worthy celebration of its twentieth anniversary.

The graphics might sometimes be a bit old school, the quality of Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition certainly is not dated. This is still one of the best real-time strategy games ever made.

With new official DLC, a glorious audiovisual overhaul and a touch of modern quality-of-life polish, this is now the best way to play Age 2 - though it'll take a while to match the HD edition's user content.

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition has the content to keep you entertained for a time. Unfortunately, the visuals and core mechanics are woefully behind 20 years after its initial release. It's a nostalgia trip for fans given the low price, but it's lacking in this new age of strategy games.

The regular price is just $20 but honestly I'd buy it twice at $60 and still feel like I got my money's worth. Forgotten Empires worked hardThe regular price is just $20 but honestly I'd buy it twice at $60 and still feel like I got my money's worth. Forgotten Empires worked hard and did an amazing job remastering an already masterpiece to somehow make it even better.

You should get it if any ONE (1) of the following are true:
*You were a fan of the original
*You like any type of RTS games
*You like games with an absurd amount of single player content (130+ hours to finish all the campaigns)
*You like chilling and making nice looking cities against easy AI
*You like playing fun casual matches with friends and doing ridiculous things
*You like games with good mods and community support
*You like games with competitive multiplayer
*You like games where you can make your own custom games within the game

It has something for everyone, maybe too much content even if you like more than two of those criteria, and the kicker is that the devs even care enough to patch the game monthly, adding events and balance changes. The game is thriving, and will continue to be for many years to come.

Tirando o fato dele não roda em pcs medianos, o resto ele compensa muito, em preço e conteúdo.

Great game. I've never played the original one but I'm really digging this one. Co-op is good and has many custom maps and mods. Totally recommended.

Buggy mess, terrible pathfinding, game design and multiplayer. Just a nostalgia cash grab.
