  • Summary: Degrees of Separation is a puzzle platformer where cooperation is built into every move. Two contrasting souls, Ember and Rime, fall in love, but are separated by an enigmatic force, and must use their powers to progress through a spectacular world of fantasy and adventure.

    Overall, I can see the game appealing to puzzle-loving gamers of about equal level or experience and ability - perhaps even romantically involved couples, as the developers suggest. For gamers looking for a bit more casual fun, some other game might be a better choice.

Очень необычная задумка заставить людей играть за две противоположные стихии, тепло и холод. Физика ммм)
    Визуальный стиль, похожий на сказку, выполняет свою функцию, великолепно. Особенно когда они меняются местами ( и весь окружающий мир сразу либо замерзает либо отмерзает)
    Музыкальное сопровождение, тоже на высоте, опять же как мне кажется очень подходит.
    На фоне происходит какой то сюжет, герои и рассказчик, что то поясняют за мир.
    -нет русского языка
    Итог: мне кажется, что лучше играть с кем то, например со своей второй половинкой)    … Expand

    Is Degrees of Separation the game that is worth your money and attention? There are undoubtedly many pros like the original game concept based on environmental changes, some interesting puzzles, relaxing gameplay, casual difficulty, user friendly controls, beautiful graphics, atmospheric music and sounds and last but not least - the local co-op. Unfortunately, there are significant cons that spoil the gameplay - uninteresting story without deep emotions, absence of map, backtracking in empty and non-living environment and weak motivation based on collecting anonymous scarfs which results in early stereotype.

    Pros:
    - original concept
    - puzzle design
    - relaxing gameplay
    - reasonable difficulty
    - controls
    - graphics
    - music and sounds
    - local co-op

    Cons:
    - story without emotions
    - absence of map
    - empty environment
    - weak motivation
    - early stereotype

    I cannot say that Degrees of Separation is a total disaster but you can simply find many better puzzle platformers for the same or even lower price. As I had quite high expectations of this game that were not fulfilled and it started to be quite boring too soon for me I am giving Degrees of Separation Thumbs Down and VideoGaming Father’s Index 5+ out of 10 - not recommended.    … Expand

    I've played a lot of local co-ops from ibb@ obb to Lego games.. But this was the first game which was cruelly boring and frustrating. It could have at least a mini map. The story doesn't exist at all- The music is excellent and the atmosphere would be good, but that didn’t improve the gaming experience.… Expand
