  • Summary: A frenzied action game in which players battle each other with one of three distinct races: The Meccs, the Sea Reapers, or the giant named Kabuto. It sucks you into its weird world and doesn't let you go.
  2. I've played some dandies in the last few months, and the competition out there is stiff, but Giants sends them all running for cover. Get it now. The highest score I've given out here at PC Gameworld.

Even with its bugs, Giants is still one of the most creative, innovative, and entertaining games I've played in years.
  4. The key thing that kept me playing and happy was the story. I really enjoyed the dialog and plot more than anything else. If there is one game you want to play for comedy Giants is it. The story doesn't have much depth and it does taper off towards the end, but while you have it, it is obscenely funny.
  5. Fantastic and beautiful third-person action among three races, with a wonderful sense of humor.
  6. This is a game to be played for hours on end. And if you can find me a hack that allows me to save the game whenever I wish, I will recommend you for a Knighthood!
  7. Of drive-in movie reviewer Joe Bob Brigg's infamous three B's, Giants' developers in a politic move took out two (Blood and Breasts). The third, Beasts, is still enough to carry the game, though the addition of a fourth B—Bugs—is certainly regrettable.

Especially the base building mechanics in the game, paired with the way you destroy the enemies base.
Kind a wish there was a Giants 2

Just about perfect. The humor and quirkiness remind me of Shiny, when they were making good games (before they got the Matrix license). Just about perfect. The humor and quirkiness remind me of Shiny, when they were making good games (before they got the Matrix license). Multiplayer is really cool, though the races are highly unbalanced. I remember Giants came out relatively close to American McGee's Alice, another perfect 10. 2000 was a very good year. Unfortunately, it looks like Planet Moon has gone strictly to consoles for now, McGee has spent the past 5 years drinking/twiddling his thumbs rather than making another stellar game...but at least we did get Psychonauts this year. It was so good it almost made up for the long drought of highly creative games of this sort. Expand

This is one of the best games I've every played. Good graphics and rip roaring dialogue will keep you chuckling through the game. During the game you will play as all three races, and each are wildly different and entertaining. I enjoyed the base buliding levels, and enjoyed defending my little city. But nothing beats walking around as Kabuto, and watching him grow bigger and bigger. Its loads of fun to eat any critter that moves, but extra juicy fun to skewer them on your horns for a convenient snack. Destruction has never been so much fun. Expand

Just watching to cut scenes makes me crack up in laughter. This is a cult classic with a gripping and hilarious story line that is easy to follow and an amazing game play engine where you play as marines, then as a magical witch then finally as the Giant himself. While the first two modes are fantastic, the Giant can feel way too repetitive and a really letdown of a final chapter. Giants Citizen Kabuto also had an online mode which I believe is still active with a small group of people who organise game sessions. Overall amazing game, if you like a good laugh and an amazing game, play Giants Citizen Kabuto! Expand
