    Find your destiny

Once a happy floor waxer in Oddworld's biggest meat processing plant, Abe stumbled across his boss's secret plan to turn the factory's slave labour force into the latest in the RuptureFarms Tasty Treats line of novelty meat snacks.

Abe now has to save his own skin from the grinders even if simply escaping the flesh farm is only the start of his Oddysee. Trigger-happy hunting parties, carnivorous sacred beasts, ancient temple traps and even a return to his former workplace await Abe on his journey to discover his people's heritage.

Sly-looking puzzle platformer that has lot to say even eighteen years after the first release. If you didn't know the original, you wouldn’t recognize this one is a remake. [Issue#251]

Oddworld New'n'Tasty is the best remake of a game I have played so far, a true testament to the love and respect the devs of Just Add Water have for the original Abe's Oddysee. Even old Oddworld fans will find themselves amazed by the stunning visuals and the general redesign the title offers. A must-buy.

This is how you do a remake. Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is as much a piece of art as it is a just a thoroughly fantastic puzzle platformer. [March 2015]

Even if you have played through the original already, the enhanced visuals and polished gameplay are reasons enough to take the "oddysee" back.

A few niggling control issues and glitches aside, it is highly recommended to check out Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty before Soulstorm arrives this year. There is a lot to love about Abe's tough adventure, with stealth, puzzles, and plenty of other mechanics all at play in determining whether he saves his 299 Mudokon buddies or not. A one-of-a-kind side-scroller that still stands the test of time.

And I love it. I used to play this game so wrong. I didn't care about other Mudokons and always was killing them in different ways. But hey I was probably too young. Now at the age of a quarter century we can play this masterpiece with better graphics and updated sounds.

Granted the easy and medium modes are no fun because there are no one hit kills anymore. But that's what hard-mode is for. And I immediately played on hard. After finishing it once I had rescued less than half and was left with a "what the hell" moment. To my surprise I found out that there were more puzzles, more secret areas. Areas I didn't knew existed when I was younger.

Thanks Oddworld for this remake and I am patiently waiting for a reboot of Abe's Exoddus

The puzzles are not very hard to be solved and with the changeable difficulty the game becomes easy in actions. I'm glad they kept a difficulty original to the Abe's Oddysee, something for those who are familiar with the game. Compared to the original game I have to say the movement was better in the old one because it was faster and instant, but not as realistic as in the new one. The quick-save option kinda ruins the point of the checkpoints, but it can also make the game easier for those who aren't looking for too much challenge. There were some bugs here and there, but it's hard to find them and not very game-changing. Expand
