I don’t know what more you could ask for in this stunning remake of Resident Evil 4. It’s obvious to say that a great remake should satisfy both returning fans and total newcomers, but this goes so far beyond that. The original game is one of my favorites of all time and now the only reason I’d recommend anyone play it is purely for historical value. And if you’re a complete newcomer to the series, this is bar none one of the most thrilling games ever. It shines as the ultimate Resident Evil experience and the greatest remake of all time.

Resident Evil 4 is as good a remake as you could hope for, one that clearly understands what made the original great, makes considered alterations where it deems necessary, improves the parts of the game that didn’t work so well, and of course, makes the whole experience easier on the eye. It may not be as necessary a tune-up as Resident Evil 2, but it’s nonetheless a fantastic excuse to revisit one of the best games ever made.

Capcom faithfully recreates and reimagines the legendary Resident Evil 4 by improving the graphics, tightening the gameplay, and keeping the original game's core scares and charms intact.

Capcom knows how to nail a remake, with Resident Evil 4 being a intricate mix of scares, humor, and fast-paced combat. Although I had a few complaints, I extensively enjoyed my time playing this third-person shooter.

No doubt: Resident Evil 4 Remake is simply an excellent horror action game and Capcom proves, for the umpteenth time, its ability to produce a controlled adventure with an exemplary finish. The basics of the original game couldn't be more solid, but the firm has been able to modernize the whole thing to make the adventure more intense, deeper in its game systems and even more thrilling. Was a remake necessary? Maybe not, but impossible to spit on this impressive version, which knows how to honor the original material as well as to bring it a rejuvenation that is ultimately very relevant. Finally, if we have a mad desire to finish Resident Evil 4 as soon as possible, it is to start it again immediately.

Resident Evil 4 Remake improves on the visuals, mechanics, and moment-to-moment experience of one of the best games ever made, but the source material casts an inescapable shadow, both in its renown and its treatment of its leading woman.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is the epitome of everything Capcom has done over the past 10 years

The game is designed with confidence, ambition, and a high budget, and I have no doubt that it targets 10 million copies or more

The amount of animations in the game alone speaks for itself

Areas have been expanded upon from the original, which is already one of the larger parts of the series.

    MASTERPIECE!

capcom mixing up remake with "graphical overhaul + changing the game" while point of remake is making an old video game improve with newcapcom mixing up remake with "graphical overhaul + changing the game" while point of remake is making an old video game improve with new opportunities especially because these features couldn't be added into the game because of technological limitation. also remake is about making the game not have what was disliked and improving its features and all but what capcom did again is releasing pretty much the same game except its graphical change and a little addition but lots of cut content and lots of BS changes and the worst is original had better graphics mostly because of its style and design choices while in remake leon looks like he will starve to death any time. they added "block with knife" feature so leon can even block chainsaw but leon looks so weak it doesn't make sense. leon was looking strong in original game for a good reason. for some reason ashley who is way younger than leon (she is 20 years old) looks older than leon and leon looks too young for a guy who is suppose to be 27 years old looks the same as the 2nd game leon because they did copy paste his model file and only changed his clothes lol. I see ada wong's character as parody of how women try to look sexy no matter where they go therefore her fashion sense was always BS but in this game ada wong wears like the incredible lmao

for some reason the story got too stupid in the remake. I'll only write the most stupid ones:

in the beginning one of the cop choose to enter to an area known as where people get kidnapped and where people live by wandering too deep into the area instead of just peeing somewhere behind the car so he could be kidnapped. the worst is even during the silence of jungle leon and the other cop didn't hear him when he yelled so this game clearly developed by city kids because in rural areas due to silence of the nature people can easily have conversation from 3 KM away so any tiny bit of sound in nature is very easily hearable. at worst leon and the other cop perhaps couldn't understand what the cop saying but they had to hear someone talking

leon and cop noticed the other cop didn't come back so to investigate instead of going together the cop sent leon alone. no real person would want to be alone in such dangerous zone

when leon finds ashley, ashley attacks to leon just like in the original but in original ashley calmed down when leon said he came to rescue her because president ordered but in remake ashley doesn't give a **** and runs away by yelling stay back but for some reason after a while she gets calm down and they change the subject to some trivial stuff -- wtf. did AIs developed the story? why change the story at all anyway?

I consider this as part of the story: all the quick time events are removed which is sucks AF. for me considering the concept of RE4 that is surviving alone in the jungle quick time events making you immerse yourself to the idea of surviving but in remake they didn't do anything to improve this concept. that's why I wanted remake to have metal gear solid 3 features like eating and treating your wounds, even getting sick and getting cold so you have to warm yourself and all. since capcom was being lazy to not add such features remake is very pointless

ashley's voice even more annoying than the original especially because she sounds like she will die any second due to lung and throat cancer lmao

like the original they kidnap ashley over and over again while basically leon doesn't do anything to prevent it because it's story BS

overall if you liked the original and you don't care these changes you gotta like the remake too but this one thing really kills the remake for me: leon talks too much and say lots of BS to be humorous but he is not funny at all. he basically make comments for everything so much in just 10 minute he gives you lots of headache and it's basically annoying when you suppose to be silent and you want to hear something. I have no idea why they didn't make leon commenting on everything optional lol

this aforementioned BS also valid for ashley but in worst way. for some reason ashley moans all the time like they raping her and everytime leon gets damage she moans while trying to say "leon noooo" but she still sound like getting raped. TBH this BS is way worse than lara croft's voice in the new tomb raider series. even porn stars in porns doesn't moan that much lmao. the worst is ashley's voice by default is like the singer of The Cranberries especially when she singing the Zombie lol so pitch and tone of her voice is all over the place when she make any noise with her mouth lmao

ashley is still useless. in reality family of USA's presidents have mandatory self-defence training so they at least know how to use pistol but ashley still cannot. so I'm stating this again: what was the point of this remake when it doesn't improve the original at all?
