TimeShift changes the fundamental way gamers think about first-person shooters by using the fourth dimension: time itself. TimeShift empowers players with the gift of time manipulation, including the ability to slow down, stop and rewind the world around them, allowing them to move freely while opponents and game objects are frozen in time. TimeShift feature mores than 30 combat missions, each showcasing time control elements and challenges that players must solve using both their extraordinary capabilities and combat expertise. An array of devastating and unique weaponry from the world's alternate timeline is at the player's disposal, including bizarre incarnations of traditional sniper guns, machine guns, pistols and more, as well as never-before-imagined armaments from an era humanity has never seen. 1. An excellent example of how a talented crew can break with the tired trend of modern urban combat in the Middle East and still produce an intense and memorable FPS experience. This is "worth playing," indeed.
  2. TimeShift is a bag of old tricks that won't surprise the audience but will entertain them. It's also an encouraging example to game developers (or anyone else for that matter) struggling with a delayed, seemingly hopeless project.
  3. After two hours of playing time, the thin story becomes obvious. A bit more depth would have helped regarding long-term motivation, but it's still a very good first-person shooter.
  4. TimeShift isn't a perfect game, but it certainly offers up some unusual first-person fragfest fun.
  5. With a convoluted plot that's difficult to follow and no motivation to achieve objectives apart from "because the random guy told me to," TimeShift doesn't leave a very strong impression.
  6. Timeshift starts off with a bang, with impressive visuals and God-like powers at your fingertips. The bang, however, fails to last throughout the game, and you’ll constantly find it harder and harder to keep going.
  7. Half-Life 2 has a better story, F.E.A.R. has better combat (complete with bullet time) and Gears of War looks better.

It's much more difficult than Half Life though. Expand

the last time I played this bad boy was back when it came out or maybe a year later or something like that, I clearly remember still being a kid.
Only thing I remember is the ability to halt, slow down and fast forward time I think? But damn it was satisfying killing people in this game. No doubt another one of my all time favourites.

A genuine underdog with a lot to recommend it, TimeShift challenges your reflexes, intelligence, and tactics, and often all at once. A varietyA genuine underdog with a lot to recommend it, TimeShift challenges your reflexes, intelligence, and tactics, and often all at once. A variety of enemies with different abilities and tactics, and a hands-off predator-style gameplay that makes no bones about how to play it. To describe it one word: 'Fun.' The story is obtuse and hard to get into, even if there's nothing new about the writing, and I'd love to have seen a some more uses for the time-reversal ability. Where this game falls short for me is that the time abilities don't always mesh well with the gunplay. Using them in the vehicle sections and bypassing traps and hazards is where the game really shines, and the game could have used more of them or a more physical combat system akin to Mirror's Edge or Assassin's creed... A game which uses giant zeppelins and crimson-skies inspired planes, was just begging for a swashbuckling fight on board a giant air craft. But these are wishes for a different game. As it stands, TimeShift was worth it, and something I would play again and again simply because it is of a kind which comes around only so often. Enough potential in it's current form but begging for so much more. Expand

... well i have been all over the forms for this game and i have bought it and tryed to play it, but it will not run

start up the game and a window pops up and then closes, there is a 10 page form on there technical websight about this issue and it is an old issue, i has to do with the grafix drivers in the game, if you do not have a nvida carn then DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, even with nvida cards a lot of users have to down grade there drivers to play this game

the game looks very good, and i realy want to play it but i have an ATI card so i cant with the error i am getting
what is realy frustrating is the fact that it gives no error box when the program fails to run.
