While Hot Shots 3 doesn’t revolutionize the series by any stretch of the imagination, it delivers sweet PS2 graphics and loads of slick refinements that make it another must-play game.
It's so good that on a gorgeous, sunny 80-degree afternoon I found myself hitting the virtual links instead of the real thing – and I love real golf.

I can't remember a game with almost nothing I would change...No other golf game keeps the action moving so well from one shot to the next. [Apr 2002, p.138]
Perhaps the best party game for the PS2 out there.
Hot Shots Golf 3 takes the game into a whole hilarious new direction - but the realism it loses may hinder real golf fans.

Its incredible similarity to previous Hot Shots Golf games may disappoint those looking for something fresh and new...[but] anyone looking for a consistently goofy, lighthearted golf game, will surely be pleased.
Summary Join the new cast of characters who come to tee off on the greens and on each other with trash-talking quips. The new swing Meter will test your skills with a variety of interfaces depending on the lie of the ball, whether it is in the fairway, rough, treeline, dirt or sand trap.
