Its puzzles are logical enough that they're never cheap or frustrating, but challenging and varied enough that they're rewarding. A charming and brilliantly designed point and click adventure; if anything, it's over too soon.

For fans of the genre Machinarium is a welcome addition. If you are a Playstation Plus member then there is literally no reason not to give this unique (if a little short) experience a try. For non Playstation Plus members the £6.49 shouldn't break the bank, however if you are a fan of Point-and-Clicks then searching the game out on Steam may be cheaper and in the end will make it more of the experience that it was clearly intended to be.
  4. A brilliantly inventive, beautiful and tender experience. Just don't let its looks blind you to its issues, like that smack-peddling glamour model you pursued at uni.

Puzzles can be a bit frustrating, but there's an excellent set of help features to prevent prolonged head-scratching. The game's length is a bit short (about 4-6 hours), but what's there is tightly designed and well-paced. There's really very little to gripe about with this game. Machinarium is a small wonder, a fantastic adventure with a quiet, emotional core. Well worth anyone's time. Expand

Simple point-and-click adventure maybe, but it's pretty hard and the puzzles aren't always logical in my opinion. I like the wonderful art-style but the world seems a bit too sad at times. It's a nice adventure though. Expand
