Overall Space Marine is an awesome experience. The game lasts for about 12 to 15 hours which is just long enough. Due to the well paced story and well handled upgrades to your equipment this running time gives you just long enough to mess around with all of the goodies before it's time to move on to the multiplayer.
By looking to its own fiction for inspiration, Relic has crafted a fun, exciting shooter that effectively differentiates itself from other games in the genre.
Space Marine offers up a decent amount of third person action and tries to offer something new. As a first attempt to a brand new franchise it does everything pretty well and no doubt ticks most of the boxes laid out during its development but it's a shame that certain areas such as the melee combat weren't given a bit more depth.
awesome game, very violent and satisfactory after every kill to I made to the enemies with the executions to this game have. The protagonist is a badass character (the history is not so very good, but the rest of the elements in this game saves everything), it have many good weapons and there are many ways to kill every enemy. It is a good choice has a video game to play killing everythig in your way.
Space Marine is a fun game and enjoyable but compared to other ****'s not great. Campaign was good but lacks on a few things. Multiplayer has the same problom. But still worth your money. Campaign 7/10 Multiplayer 7/10 Space Marine 7.2
Here we go I grew up on WH 40K way back when it all began I've seen every game since the original space hulk on pc, space crusade, space hulk on saturn on ps 1, chaos gate, rites of war, liberation, firewarrior what were they thinking on this very very badly designed, dawn of war 1,2, kill team was basic but so much fun they should allowed to mutiplay **** thinking after seeing games like GOW and Darksiders almost like copy of what a space marine game should be like..What they came out with was not to bad a effort but it just missed that extra punch, they missed out heaps of weapons hell master chief had more stuff to use and the armoury of a space marine is huge yet you only ge to use a little bit...Your telling me that all the game testers not one of them played WH 40K and didn't put there hand up and say your kinda missing something...Yeah sure a normal human could move at the same pace as a space marine really the LT could have won the war on her own..What happened to multiplayer on the story mode if GOW and Aliens colonial marines can do it why cant the space marines..Again very over hyped just wait to price drop give it a few weeks they usually do..
I was fairly disappointed with this title. The gameplay is pretty average fare, the environments can be bland, and the story is just alright. This is coming from a Warhammer 40k fan, I believe I would be even less impressed if I was unfamiliar with this universe. The visuals are a mixed bag... some levels are industrial and mind-numbingly plain, while others can be impressive. The jump pack adds some needed diversity, but can only be used at certain moments in the campaign. The combination of a shooting mechanic with melee fighting is a bit different, but just doesn't do enough to set itself apart from other third-person shooters to me.
Halfway through the game, and a bit sick of it already. The single player could not be more linear. There is one path, and the mission objectives literally do not matter because there is only one objective, and one way to go. Maybe it changes in the second half, but I doubt it. The gameplay is all about shooting at range. When the orks get close, which is usually pretty quick, them engage melee. If there is a big guy turn on the rage or whatever it's called to rip things to shreds, or stun him a lot. That's it. The multiplayer is peer to peer with no dedicated server. Saving is done by save points. I will say that I think the game looks nice though. Gameplay is a repetitious boring sweaty arm pit.
