2064: Read Only Memories is an excellent cyberpunk adventure for anyone looking for a point-and-click title inspired by games like Snatcher. Don't forget the catchy soundtrack.

It’s so purely fun. It’s a thrilling, charming, and humorous game that celebrates many positive things at once with an almost childlike innocence, all while containing a deep mystery that has you constantly thirsting for more information. After a difficult past year, it’s the type of thing that is sorely needed right now as we tackle this one with newfound resolve and hope. 2064: Read Only Memories, with its contemporary and thought-provoking themes, accessibility through its diverse and rich characters, and beautiful story about what it means to be human, is an uplifting experience that I’ll remember for years to come.

2064: Read Only Memories presents an interesting, if not predictable, narrative that is propelled by its strong cast of characters and excellent world-building. It’s refreshing to see a developer put so much care into creating a cast as diverse and interesting as this.

2064: Read Only Memories tells a haunting story in a stylish way. Its diverse roster of characters, intriguing world, and masterful soundtrack make for an engaging experience from beginning to end. While there are some minor storytelling and structural hiccups, it nevertheless successfully combines a classic genre with modern trimmings.

2064: Read Only Memories has a fascinating world full of potential for great stories, but spends a lot of time focusing on things that aren’t as novel as its best parts.

Through its creative cast and interesting interactions, 2064 brings its pixel art world to life. Despite a few technical hitches, 2064: Read Only Memories is a step forward in the way games interact and intersect with politics and how storytelling in games can make a statement in today’s climate.

2064: Read Only Memories is a great game for anyone who agrees 100% with what its heavy-handed, politically-charged plot forces down your throat without question. However, like a political conversation on social media, 2064 is long-winded, overly aggressive in its message, ill-presented, and accomplishes nothing.

Taking place in the year 2064, in the city of Neo San-Francisco, 2064: Read Only Memories tells a story of intrigue and identity as the possible existence of the first sapient artificial life leads the player down a path of danger as they strive to figure out who is hunting this robot, and why.

With clever, sharp dialogue and characterisation that defies expectations and the labourious rhythm of standard video game dialogue and development, 2064: Read Only Memories incorporates both the history of cyberpunk fiction with inspiration from the experiences of the LGBT+ community in the United States to tell a unique story of identity and self-actualization.

Combining this with its bright, cheerful aesthetic and excellent sense of humour that ensures its points are never too heavy handed, 2064: Read Only Memories is one of the best graphic adventure games to be released in the last 15 years.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I played the original Steam release of this game, and loved it. If you're into sci-fi with a dazzling character cast, give this a go. The soundtrack is incredible as well; listened to it long after I finished the game. Spoiler: This game contains milk. Expand

Pure unadulterated crap. The game is flawed in every way. The controls are stiff and not responsive, which for this type of game seems like a huge setback from the get go. Now the setting is "cyberpunk" which is hardly noticeable other than the color pallet being neon colors. The tone of the world isn't cyberpunk which yet another huge let down. Feels like you are being told that "this is cyberpunk" and doesn't really fit in the whole fifth element, shadowrun feel you would normally come to expect from a game claiming to have a cyber punk vibe. It really seems like a game you would only enjoy on drugs, but you are really only enjoying the high of the drugs and the game is just there. Expand

Can't recommend thisPushes a political agenda and focuses more on using a platform as a "game" to do so than it does on focusing on gameplay. Can't recommend this garbage. MidBoss needs to learn to respect the players beliefs and keep their own to themselves. Ridiculously smug and self-righteous. No thanks. Expand

Can't wait for the refund systems like Steam has to hit PS4 and XboxOne. Would have instantly refunded this waste of disc space.

The programmers should be familiar with programming concepts like LIFO and FIFO (last in first out and first in first out). In the case of this game its more like GIGO (Garbage in Garbage Out). I guess they figured if they made it CyberPunk it would be KEWL and people would overlook their nonsensical world view they try to slam down your throat at every opportunity.

I hope their parents have room to have them move back in once this game falls flat on its face.
