It all adds up to the finest Call of Duty game yet, and it comes from the riskiest package. By and large, Call of Duty’s Warfare line has always maintained the slightest bit grounded, never quite leaping into the distant future by this much...But the leap is a success, underachieving tradition of Michael Bay films be damned.

Infinite Warfare provides a huge package with a lot of fun gameplay throughout. There's something here for everyone, and enough to keep us all playing for another year.

Overly familiar multiplayer, but tells a compelling story.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare succeeds in most aspects of a solid sci-fi shooter. However, a lackluster and rushed story takes away from what could have been a full and complete campaign mode. Luckily where the story lacks, the gameplay and solid mechanics Call of Duty deliver.

Activision and Infinity Ward have decided to play it safe, offering a solid and tested formula, without any relevant additions that could rejuvenate the structure of the game, the gunplay or the multiplayer.

Even though Zombies in Spaceland and multiplayer are just more of the same, as a whole, it’s hard to find an FPS on the market as fully-featured as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The campaign is the surprise highlight, with heart-pounding action, jaw-dropping graphics, and fresh ideas for the series, making it worth checking out even for those disappointed by its sci-fi themes.

An assemblage of hits and misses, that's the measure of this year's Call of Duty. I could say something about publisher Ubisoft pulling back from its annualized Assassin's Creed franchise, or how even Doctor Who gets a break. But it's probably simplest to remind that it's shooter season, and this year, the alternatives are formidable.

If you're like me and not played COD for a few year IW is a great way to jump back, the campaign is awesome and multiplayer lots of fun. It also comes packaged with the best FPS of all time MW1. Dont jump on the hate bandwagon, be a real gamer and try for yourself.

Infinity Ward was coming into a losing battle, as demands from activision bogged down the game very obviously from what it could have been. Lets face it, Infinity Ward already lost this year, backlash towards the game was apparent from day 1 of the trailer, but does that truly mean its a bad game?

The game isn't bad, lets get that out of the way immediately, the campaign isn't bad, it can be fun if you don't take it too seriously, sort of the fun, sci fi action you'd expect, the introduction of space combat isn't as much a breath rather an entire planet full of fresh air, that mixes things up right when they start to get stale. The zombies is also fun, definitely taking advantage of the amusement park setting. But what everyone wants to know is the Multiplayer, how is the multiplayer? Boring. That's it. Boring. If you played Black Ops 3 then you know what to expect, and that is the problem, more of the same. This was their chance to fix Black ops 3 broken movement system, sure, have double jumps, I don't mind them, but don't have some terrible "glide" system that is less effective than Black Ops 3 supply drops, and go back to a simpler AW system that allows strategic quick movements, rather than gently glide. If i'm being shot at, i'd prefer AW's exo system so that with one click of a trigger, I can dodge out of the way to get a chance to fight back, not this system where I slowly move out of the way like i'm on a skateboard. But another gripe with multiplayer is the lack of weapons, seriously there are only a little over 20 weapons, in the whole game...I'm not joking, even Battlefield 1, which had the disadvantage of being in World War I had about the same number of weapons if not more. For a 60 dollar game being able to unlock all the weapons within a day is unacceptable and for me brings the score down a whole point. Just think about it, its a future game with SPACE warfare, and they couldn't be bothered to come up with more options, hell, 5 of the weapons aren't even new, they are just weapons from previous games in which one of them is about as effective as a BB gun. Supply drops are back and so is customization, sort of a mix of AW's customization which I really liked, and BO3's system which I disdain. People complain about the Customization of AW, but you know what? If I want to dress up like a gingerbread man, let me, Its not like I take the game seriously in the first place. Its called CUSTOMIZATION for a reason. But as of now, you can't buy supply drops, but we all know they will be in a month or two so lets just take a point away now so I don't have to come back and edit this. Anyway, not a bad game, certainly fun when you play anything but the multiplayer, but besides it, I'd say wait for it to go on sale during the Christmas season rather than spend a full 60 on it.

this game is terrible. worst FPS ive ever played. its similar to Titanfall 2 in only one way. they are both futuristic. the future is okthis game is terrible. worst FPS ive ever played. its similar to Titanfall 2 in only one way. they are both futuristic. the future is ok with me, but only if the maps have a real life organic feel to them, and the game is done right. Titanfall 2 excels in every area. it has a soul to it. COD IW however has no soul to it. the gameplay is terrible, and the maps are just futuristic space "garbage", with no innovation to them. in conclusion i want to reiterate the fact that i believe that if a futuristic shooter is done right, it can be a very good game. in that regard the developers of Infinite Warfare need to go visit the Titanfall 2 developers and take some serious notes. Titanfall 2 is quite possibly the best FPS i have ever played, while Infinite Warfare is undoubtedly the worst FPS i have ever played. i personally wouldnt play it if it was free. Expand
