Create more scoring opportunities with all-new dynamic attacking systems in the most intelligent FIFA gameplay to date. A new Agile Dribbling system gives you the means to unleash your creativity in 1-on-1 situations. Use fast footwork, more responsive close control, and new skill moves like the ball roll fake to explode past defenders. In FIFA 21, increased positional awareness elevates footballers’ in-game intelligence to put them in the right place at the right time. See world-class forwards hold their runs in line with the last defender, creative playmakers find space to play through balls, and midfielders shut off passing lanes as players better live up to their real-world understanding of space and time on the pitch. FIFA 21 may not contain any brand new modes or major new features, but by providing substantial changes to gameplay and introducing key improvements, it has easily positioned itself as the best FIFA yet. Combining challenging yet satisfying defending with ludicrous goal-scoring opportunities takes its on-the-pitch action to new levels, while additions to its Career, Ultimate Team, and Pro Clubs modes make this an essential purchase for football fans.

FIFA 21 is a good, but simple enhancement. Everything is at its right place: FUT, Volta and the other game modes are as they should be, with small adjustments. The career mode has gotten the most attention, and it shows.

Even if the differences between FIFA 20 and FIFA 21 aren't that substantial, FIFA 21 is exactly what it needs to be: That fun football game that you fire up after a long day at work, crack open a beer and play with your buddies at home. And it does that triumphantly.

FIFA 21 feels a lot like a transition game that was hastily put together to leave time for the PS5 and XSX future. It corrects a few hiccups from the previous game, but overall it's not enough to lure anybody in but the most hardcore fans of FUT.

FIFA 21 is still a great game that can offer hours upon hours of fun. On the other hand it seems that there is no real innovation in anything the franchise does any more.

FIFA 21 has thrown a lot of adjustments under the hood to help give players more tools than ever before. A lot of the casual players, however, may not take advantage of this. Something needs to be updated to the shooting model and not just the 1-on-1 matchups. The feeling of a soccer match is still fantastic, but it seems EA has put this in the back seat in favor of VOLTA. Even though the Career Mode offers a good bit of options and control, the focus still feels like it is on VOLTA and FUT in terms of game modes even though neither mode changed much. FIFA 21 is a great soccer experience for those who don’t play these types of games often, but the limited mode selection and the overall feel of the game will leave a lot to be desired for yearly fans.

There’s so much work to be done to make FIFA a viable contender again as a genuinely great sports game. The sad part is, I don’t think EA Sports really care anymore.

I was hoping for more this year as EA should have known already what the players complaints are from last year. Basically it is the same game with a little gameplay change which is making this game to look worse. Passing, defending is so unreal and collision sytem is so bad... Expand
