It's a very simplistic game yet holds a special place in my heart. It's one of these browser games that you have to grind incredibly and devote a lot of your time into but it pays off. A bonus is that you don't need to watch the game constantly as any task takes up a specific amount of time, so you need to look at your game every now and then (perfect for taking a break of a boring online lesson x3) It also gives a lot of satisfaction when you finally get new and better items and beat hard enemies. It's obviously old now and the combat system looks beyond silly but I give it a 10 for the sake of all the nostalgia and all the unfair ratings. Otherwise it's probably like a 6.5
You have to decide how you want to play, plain and simple. If you are F2P, do not hold yourself to the standards of those who pay. If you pay, play well, and spend well. In the end, SF is all about dedication. I have 4 accounts, 2 paid and 2 F2P. On my free characters, I am well past those who spent hundreds in the early days of the server and stopped playing, on my paid characters I have spent far less than those on top and I am not far behind. If you log in daily and know the ins and outs of SF you can succeed and surpass those who spend money but are not dedicated. No, this game is not WOW or another comparable MMO. But it isn't trying to be. SF is every mobile game on the market, half-assed and thrown together to create a weirdly fun and addictive experience. I like to have it open in a tab while I do homework or watch youtube or even while playing other games and I I check it in between matches. I recommend that anyone who sees this review, make a character or two(on different servers, multi-accounting on a server is not allowed) and stick with it. Play for a week, see if you still like it. Find a guild to join and read about strategy. As a tip, pick the quests that give you the most experience and save your mushrooms. Do not spend them on gear or quests unless it is a weekend event and try to keep the 50% mount as often as you can since it basically doubles your questing for 2 weeks. Anyway, this is a review, not a beginner's guide. I hope that this gets someone to play since I love this game and I hope you do too. 8/10 because it is a browser game and it is not perfect. It is not very inviting to new players -1 and another -1 because it can be very frustrating at times to be F2P
This game is sadly the only one exists which is made like that BUT it has a really dumb rule where you are not allowed to have more charakter than 1 on the same server. The weird thing is that there are allot of different classes and nothing stops you from making several charakter on the same server although it is forbidden to do so? Who codes this laughable joke or better say, who makes such dumb rules?
This game is not bad but I advise everyone not to play this game. Everyone who likes to play more classes / characters than just one should quince this game. Thanks to a rule you can only play 1 class per server although there are so many classes to choose from and the game does not forbid this. If you do it anyway, the classes will be banned. Some people can't be allowed to make rules.
This game is heavily Pay2Win. Long time ago there was some items that costed like 1 mushroom max 2 or something and what's now? Almost every item in the shops cost mushrooms even lvl 1 items costs like 10 shrooms per item but that was not the reason why I am reviewing this. The main reason is that you are not allowed to play more characters on the same server. There is no mechanic stopping you from doing that and the only way you can know that is by reading the terms of the game. So yeah the most idio...c mechanic I have ever seen in my whole life. Do not play this game unless you wana play 1 class only.
I'll start with the fact that in order to buy mushrooms, you need to pay real money.
(You can find some from quests or lucky wheel but that's a really minor amount)
basically to level up you need to do quests (click and wait, click and wait)
Want to do more quests than you're allowed daily? use mushrooms.
want to buy an item? around half of them requires mushrooms, want to get a new list of items? use mushrooms.
want to play the "lucky wheel"? you'll get 1 attempt for free daily, for more, use mushrooms.
Even if you've used mushrooms and got some awesome items for your level, when you
level up, you can find better items, so now you can use more mushrooms to get better items :)
The old items become useless and you can throw them away for a little bit of gold.
EVERYTHING you do in this game (and there's not much of it) has mushrooms invloved in it.
I've played many p2w games before, but this one is something "special"
