Doraemon: Story of Seasons really pulls you into its story and makes you invested in what happens to its characters. Its perfect pacing and easy to understand play make it all the easier to lose yourself in.

It’s definitely worth checking out after Stardew Valley. Even if Doraemon Story of Seasons is not as complex as Eric Barone’s game, it still does often pleasantly surprise – and that surprise element is something that was long missing in Story of Seasons. [13/2019, p.86]

Doraemon Story of Seasons is a good choice for those who no longer have much time for video games, and despite some gameplay issues, it’s so well designed that can easily entertain almost anyone.

Story of Seasons is surprisingly addictive, thanks to its solid gameplay. The story and the world don’t offer anything particularly new, but it is, overall, a good choice if you’re looking for some virtual farming.

If you like Doraemon, you'll probably like this tale, but as a Story of Seasons fan, I would rather not spend my farming life in Natura. [Issue #44 – January/February 2020, p. 18]

Story of Seasons and perhaps even most Doraemon fans will feel at home in the latest entry of the celebrated series. While the manga cat’s inclusion doesn’t exactly breathe new life into the franchise, it certainly doesn’t ruin it. And while it’s on the pricier end of the series’ spectrum, it’s perhaps also the best-looking entry to date. If you’re looking for a cozy farm simulator and are all Stardew Valley-ed out, Doraemon Story of Seasons will surely satisfy.

Doraemon Story of Seasons looks lovely but feels like work to play.

Lots of stories and sort of reminds me of return to the homeland. If you want the most out of this game , watch season 1 and 2 of Doraemon on YouTube the Disney xd make. I have played almost all of the harvest moons and every story of seasons, I love this game so far. Definitely worth it. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Doraemon Story of Seasons has a cute story that feels like something you could find in the Doraemon anime. I like the fact that gifting is easy in this game not much for dislikes. The napping feature restores 10 stamina an hour which is a really neat feature allowing you to utilize any extra time that you may have to get more stamina, plus it immediately jumps so no waiting so you can even nap to a time a store that opens (or reopens) later. If your starting to run low on stamina you can choose to catch bugs or fish which doesn’t require any stamina at all. For your tools yeah you’ll need to upgrade tools so chopping down stronger trees and busting stronger rocks is easier, but that’s normal in a farming simulator. You don’t start off with much personal storage in your backpack, but it doesn’t take me long to save money to get the backpack upgrades. Feeding and maintaining your animals is a quick and easy process as well. Is this game a bit “cheesy”? Yes. But you need to take into account that Doraemon is a popular anime in Japan for children. I got this game despite that all because I loved Story of Seasons, and SoS Trio of Towns on 3DS. This game isn’t as broad as those titles on 3DS, but this game didn’t disappoint. Also if you don’t like the fact that the little bit of voice acting is in Japanese you can turn the voices off which Japanese voice acting never bugged me. Expand

Worst of all the random story sections make no sense like the trapped dog that then gets left ubtil you have leveled up your farm or the reloading of scenes just because you've had a conversation. it's rrally sloppy. excuse the typos I can't see the text I'm writing because metacritic has poorly implemened their mobile solution Expand
