Incredibly fun game with a million customization options. The level of detail and control they give you is unreal. I just started playing it a month ago, and the bugs that people complained about years ago are fixed because I’m playing this on an older custom PC I built. If you play through the early career and get a footing for how it all, works, it’s amazing.
Frontier have created one of the best games in the genre, and judging by their support of Elite Dangerous post-launch, it seems that there’s still more to come from the developers.
Although Planet Coaster belongs to a niche genre, it is a well-crafted product that we hope will keep being polished. Despite imperfections that certainly affect the experience, its achievements and potential are worthy of admiration and it is a game worth playing.
Planet Coaster doesn’t invent the rollercoaster wheel, but it does deliver a polished, deep experience, and it gives you every tool you could possibly need to make the magical ride of your dreams.
Planet Coaster has been great to play. It’s been too long since there was a decent theme park sim and I think Frontier has nailed it. The only criticism I have is that it’s quite hard to fail at making a working park, even in hard mode, and hardcore sim fans may find the finance management a little lacking. That doesn’t take away from the enjoyment of creating park though, and difficulty is almost secondary here. Once you’ve played it for a while you just want to be creative.
You’ll rarely face a situation where you have an idea that the game wouldn’t let you expand on. Planet Coaster is just the most complete theme-park simulation game available.
I love management game but sadly this game is not what I looking for. Planet Coaster is more toward to designing game. Have you ever want to build amusement park in your dream ? like your own disneyland for exp, if that is the case, then this game is for you. You could design building the way you want. There are ton of workshops in steam. You can decorate to your heart content.
However, If you are more toward to management part, like max profit, use your brain to get everything most efficiency. Then this game is a No for you. For me, this game is a no but I have to give a fair score since I watch some youtubers, they really build their amusement park so beautiful. They really care to use sign board, painting, decorate with various objects, which for me personally, I don't care at all about that. Some will enjoy the game, some will not, so ask yourself first about which type of gamers you are.
PS. The tutorial also ****, like super ****. Be warn about huge learning curve.
A great management sim, and most of the challenges are quite difficult. The level of customisation is super impressive. However, some UI issues and controls are quite difficult to handle. At times the sheer volume of detail can be quite overwhelming to manage also. A nice change of pace to play inbetween the usual buffet of shooters and RPG's.
This game is alright and the visuals are stunning, but I don’t play anymore because I gave up trying to move my mouse around the park. It’s way too hard to play this game on a computer and they should make an touch-screen version, like rct3.
Not optimized. My computer is pretty solid and has never has given me trouble on any games (i5, 16GB RAM 750Ti) Once my park got to a medium size I couldn't get over 5 FPS on the LOWEST settings. If you don't have a $1,000+ rig then dont bother with this game. Hope they can find a way to optimize it better.
