As movie tie-in games go, this is actually rather good. It flows well, is visually impressive and maintains sufficient pace and excitement to keep the young player tuned in for many hours.
The gameplay is "Lego"-game-like; the attention to detail, broad appeal and polish isn't. [Sept 2008, p.68]
Two-player drop-in co-op plus some fun and undemanding levels. The kids will love this and adults could easily kill an hour or so. [Issue#36, p.96]
Maybe kids will get some enjoyment out of it, but anyone over 12-14 years old should probably just skip it. We all know movie tie-ins are generally rushed and second-rate, but from my experience, this one takes the cake!
Prince Caspian is clearly aimed at the younger players, but even those demand a better game nowadays.
The only reason that Prince Caspian doesn't utterly fail is that it does feature the occasionally interesting puzzle. However, figuring out a clever, well-thought-out solution only made the otherwise forced and repetitive nature of the rest of the game seem that much worse by comparison.
