The Secret Saturdays: Beasts of the 5th Sun is a good licensed game with some minor problems that keep it from reaching must-own status.
A classic action game, and a good way to transpose the cartoon atmosphere. Gameplay isn't compelling enough, and graphics are not that good. Consider it just if you're really in love with the cartoon.
As cartoon translations to the video game genre go, Secret Saturdays: Beasts of the 5th Sun does a few things wrong, but it does very few things very wrong, and that puts it head and shoulders above some of the other examples of this type of crossover.
The Secret Saturdays: Beasts of the 5th Sun will not revolutionize the cartoon to video game market. However, it does do something that tends to be rare with these games - it delivers on the experience fans have come to expect.
Overall, The Secret Saturdays: Beasts of the 5th Sun isn't bad for its basic details, and it's actually decent for a licensed game. Yet flaws shine so bright when a game is this simple.
An easily forgettable game that is sure to get lost among the holiday season's high profile games.
