The Walking Dead Survival Instinct is a disappointment. There are many interesting ideas in the background but they all look terrible at the practical act.
It’s a generic zombie story to a Z, and not helped by horrible visuals that awkwardly recycle character models and stages. Together, these elements make the game feel like a reanimated corpse.
This game is a must for a walking dead TV fan, it had all the atmosphere that it needs.ThiS GAME IS SO AWESOME!Yes I can understand why people would not like this **** this isnt COD zombies. You actually have to try and survive by trying to hit the head, use stealth and destrations. I think it is a Awsome
A great game, even though it was repetitive everyone loves games that are repetitive i mean why do you think call of duty sells more and more each year they release a new game, this theory also applies with Mario games and so on.
The premise of the game is not terrible, but there needed to be more intelligence and purpose in the application to elevate it above the mundanity of clubbing endless zombies to death. If only someone could make a really good Walking Dead game. Oh, wait...
An interesting concept that's been realised into a totally horrible and dull shooter/stealth action crossover that I cannot recommend to fans of the series, not even to fans of the Walking Dead comics. The only noticeable positive about it is its voice acting.
Survival Instinct is a major disappointment with its brainless story and buggy, repetitive and lazy gameplay. This game provides neither chills, thrills or challenges for the player. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this cash grab as possible. What a terrible waste of a license.
There are videogames, great licensed products and then there is The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. Coming out with the end of the third season of the series, Activision's game is just a tasteless merchandising product, quickly developed in an attempt to increase the financial income of the license. Everything is to be thrown away in this pitiful FPS that clearly shows the misunderstanding of the series by the development team. What's left is a very ugly game which is quite appalling for HD consoles nearing the end of their lives. Very repetitive, with no interest whatsoever, the game offers one of the worst AI's in the industry. Needless to say that after Telltales's brilliant games the quality drop is epic, and when a game's quality falls of the table, so does our grade.
The fundamentals for a good game are here, but it doesn’t take long for it to become clear that The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is a rushed cash grab, made to leech of the popularity of the show. It’s graphically dated, a story is practically nonexistent and not a single game mechanic works like it should. It’s outrageous, because the license deserves so much better.
This game is amazing due to the replayablitiy and its full of content and about 12 hrs story and the likeness of norman reedus an dmicheal rooker is spot on and excellent voice work well done terminal reality
why so underrated? TWD SI is not bad at **** graphics is decent, the story is good, the voice acting is really **** is too short, I kinda enjoyed this game...there is not multiplayer or coop and that is not good but its still a really fun game...
I don't understand why everyone is giving this game such a terrible review. It is definitely not the best game I've ever played, but I read the reviews and decided to try it out myself. I think the game does have some great elements, the decision making and choosing where to go next is very innovative in a zombie style game. It has times when I jumped because a zombie caught me unexpectedly. This game reminds me of a toned down Dead Island. Is it worth your $50? No, I can say when it gets to $20 bucks or less I would recommend the game to anyone, it is worth that. This game right now is definitely a rental. You will have some good times with it.
How did this game ever get approval for release? The walking dead franchise is a guaranteed money maker and this is what the give as a product? The game completely fails in every aspect. I did find some fun in the actual zombie killing and the expansion of the overall walking dead world. It just did not hold up to the quality expectation of the Walking Dead IP.
The biggest problem with this game is that I purchased it for $50. I saw it in stores and I just bought it. BAD MOVE. I should have checked the reviews. At most this game should be $10. Graphics were not great or good, but they are not horrible. This is a good game as long as you are not expecting fantastic. Considering I love the Walking Dead series I was expecting a little more than I got. The plot and storyline were just blah.
SummaryTerminal Reality’s The Walking Dead video game takes the undead and brings them out of the TV show and into console gaming systems in a new, terrifying way. The iconic walkers will relentlessly hunt down players like their television counterparts, using a combination of sight, sound and smell. As Daryl, players will need to tread caref...
