A blast to play. The game oozes style in the same way that "Space Channel 5" did, and the control scheme uses the dual sticks of the PS2 controller better than anything since "Ape Escape."
The gameplay is almost completely different, the language dubbing is horrible, but the soundtrack is rock solid and the new motion capture is definitely hipper.
It is a fun game that anyone can play without shelling out for added accessories or peripherals, and it simply oozes style.
The process of learning prolonged dance patterns as the game unfolds can be a bit of a bummer. Still, the story and characters are enteraintaining, the graphics are uplifting, and selection of familiar popular dance tunes will keep you grooving.
Gamers with an open mind and a block of time to set aside will find Unison to be something new, something fresh and definitely something different.
Alluring pop divas…political rebels…musical party game...Unison spreads itself too thin trying to satisfy all of these criteria, and ultimately comes up short everywhere.
The game is rated "E" for everyone, and it will likely find ways to bore and possibly annoy everyone who plays it.

Summary The domestic incarnation of this Japanese dancing game has new movies, voice acting, and gameplay, but the plot remains the same: in a land where dancing is fobidden, the lavender-clad Dance Doctor, assuming Kevin Bacon's role in "Footloose," leads three girls in a revolution to bring dancing back to the world.
