I really enjoyed this. Let me just simply put it like that. I think that the campaign is interesting, has a sweet plot line with twists, and you don't have to pay to win. You don't have to be the best in the game to complete your voyage. That's why I like this game.
I've played several free to play, point and click MMO's and so far Wartune is the best. It's accessible, has awesome content, and most importantly fun to play. If you've ever played a game like this one you know what to expect from the combat and quests. Combat is almost completely automatic except that you have to select which special attack you use. Quests are your standard go here and do/kill this or upgrade this stuff, but is fun because you genuinely feel like you're making progress and making your mark on the world. The story isn't anything special but thanks to the distinct characters I never find myself mindlessly skipping through the games dialog, but instead I actually read it. When you're not going on quests you're managing and upgrading your very own city. Watching your city grow is rewarding and addicting. Another praise I have for the game is how, unlike other similar games, you never feel like you have to reach some unbelievably high level before the best content becomes unlockable. You're always unlocking new content and finding new things to do in the game. The cooperative and competitive multiplayer content is also fantastic. You can team up with people to clear out a dungeon or take on a world boss, and you can fight other players in the arena or attack their city in an effort to plunder gold from them. The game is constantly engaging and keeps me coming back for more, and the fact that it's not pay to win makes it all the sweeter. So if you're looking for a fun, addicting, and engaging MMO to play that doesn't require you to play for countless hours to hit level 50 and unlock the good stuff, Wartune is the game you're looking for.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction), this game deserves well. It's constantly being updated for players caps as well as their money.
Over the year, they have added: Battlegrounds, Mounts, The Spire, The Tower of Kings, Tank Trials, Class Wars, Guild Battle etc... This game is mostly focused on the PvP function with several expansions on massive battles
Recently, this game has introduced sylphs which are kind of like elemental summons which has turned it into a new game.
Granted, their customer service could be a lot better.
I got introduced to this game by my friend and I started playing, and it was ok. Honestly, I don't understand why they put up the AO rating, There isn't any strong sexual content, which is a big role in AO games. So, in my opinion, the game was okay, but had flaws. First of all, the combat system is just a copy of Diablo 2. And the game will lag and glitch at many times(I have a fairly average gaming computer). Not much else to say here, but I have to give 6/10.
quick money grab game, terrible consumer support, constant terrible error conections or white screen that locks you out for maybe hours at end, pvp in general is terrible, they don't listen to their player base.
it waste the time of players with daily events at specific times.
it also feels like a chore to do this daily.
its pay to have the advantage!!!
better play some genshin impact!!! or another game that don't waste your time and money.
Lag, disconnects, impersonal customer service that tells you to clear cookies and cache when you lead your ticket with "I cleared my cookies and cache," and the kind of greedy, foolish development that ruins even great games. If you like these features, Wartune's your game. I've played for over a year now, and what once was a challenging diversion with understandable perks for spenders has become an unplayable haven for spending-addicted bullies and cheaters, who are more concerned about seeing the number for their battle rating go up even than actually playing anything. Many spend hours in world chat trying to master vulgar snark instead of actually playing and helping others, even in their own guild, have fun. And, heaven forbid you're actually caught cheating. The game runners will tell you "oh, please don't do it again, but we won't really stop you so long as you're spending." Several I've seen in this situation on different servers got into world chat and actually started taunting the game runners! So, rules are for those who don't buy their Get Out Of Ban Free card, because the game thinks some are just more equal than others.
But, what's even worse for the spenders, over time, there are larger and larger prizes for spending, so past purchases are de-valued quickly to try to entice more spend. If you can't keep up with those dumping in $5K or $10K a **** perhaps 10-15 per server claim they do now...your advantage by being a wallet warrior goes away. You don't even get to enjoy real benefit because of what you spent. Without spend, some players now are twice as strong as some who spent over $20K on the game, because, to keep up with the inflation of battle rating being handed out for prizes to the richest of the gamers, everything eventually becomes easier to **** just takes longer for the honest free players, who are never intended to be able to compete. Not how it started out, but how it is now.
Some statistical facts for comparison also tell a tale. An AVERAGE arena run of 15 combats for four players on a team is seeing something like 20+ disconnects. A 20 min world boss event has 2-10 disconnects for most players, while lagging through the entire time there is connection. Things like the "fishing game" that require timing look more like stop-motion video, where the game freezes for 5+ seconds then you're suddenly where you **** you pressed a button trying to catch fish, it's certain you didn't do what you thought you did. Can't time a thing!
The game has a ton of neat and nifty ideas, all undermined by putting too much into resident memory all the time, even within single events, so a reboot or refresh doesn't even do anything. The game probably also runs much better within the devs' headquarters, but the real problem here becomes just how overdeveloped the game is. At the game runners' end, there isn't enough bandwidth with 2014 or 2015 technology to handle the load. If this were only the players, and if the claims of RAM capacity were valid, it would just be something the players could overcome. When every player on the server is screaming about lag and disconnects through EVERY event, EVERY day, the game is at fault. But, the devs don't care. They count cynically on continuing to develop new games within this game, getting the addicted spenders to spend, and to blazes with anything **** makes them money, so why should they care?
On this basis, the game passed a tipping point perhaps 4-5 months back, where it might be attractive for new players to play the game, more because the game is less and less playable, and isn't now intended to be of any use to a new player. The cure for the lag, it seems, is to get rid of players not spending "enough," thereby re-opening bandwidth. And, it's working. People are leaving the game in droves.
Wartune still has games and features that would be well worth playing, if we could play them, and on a more balanced playing field. However, when what used to be considered super-strong players are now getting killed with a single shot in arena that all-too-obviously now have variables coded in to take spend into account, and to hand the spenders easy wins (which removes all the challenge from the game, even for them!), this game is left with two categories: (1) spenders who are buying free wins where there's no more challenge to the game and (2) everyone else for whom the game is rigged and they will always come out on the losing end. Coupled with the game really being impossible to stay logged into these days, and it's really time to hang it up here, for everyone.
Sad, but a game with so much diversity and promise has apparently decided to take as much money today as they can, so they don't have to service it tomorrow. The devs at 7Road are laughing all the way to the bank now, and treating their role in responsible treatment of their game as a good excuse for a bank holiday. Well, guys, was nice while it lasted.
customer support ****. money is all they care about. 99% pay to win; without paying stay bad forever. need to make a lot of time for activities and event. after doing them for a while it feels like boring chores you can't miss everyday.
SummaryWartune is a turn-based strategy MMO designed with numerous gameplay features such as an in-depth skill customization system, PvP and Guild arenas, and large-scale epic boss battles.
