The Devil’s Third is a hell of a lot of fun because it breaks every rule in the book. I would take that, technical warts an all, over the glistening and safe nonsense that we’re exposed to from almost every other shooter out there.
This is a simple shooter with some uninspired swordplay. We expected more from the creator of Ninja Gaiden.

Combat is surprisingly basic given that this is from the man behind the Ninja Gaiden games. [Issue#165, p.86]
If there's a game that fits perfectly as a kusoge (the term that Japanese gamers use for terrible games), Devil's Third is definitely one of a kind. Itagaki's experiment is a total failure in all of game's aspects: bad gameplay mechanics, terrible narrative and poor graphics make this title something to avoid.
Devil's Third is a game with interesting ideas, crushed by a disappointing technical value. The graphics, the gameplay mechanics, the overall game design, are just wrong, and simply fail in creating a good experience to play with.
Despite the occasional laughs and wonderfully weird multiplayer modes, Devil's Third is near-impossible to recommend. The numerous issues with the controls as well as crucial elements of the game's combat systems soon mount up to provide an experience that frustrates far more often than it entertains, resulting in a missed opportunity for what could've been a cult hit.
It is quite clear that Devil's Third was never intended for the Wii U. It feels completely out of place. It's fitting that the only Wii U-specific feature Devil's Third uses is the GamePad's poor battery life, because it gives you an excuse to turn it off.
Thx, Mr. Itagaki. This game is not a **** like critis said, it's an understimeted great experience. I simply love the swipe from tps and action and the solo story mode is great.
I hope u can make a second chapter with more things and hopefully better framerate(the only one thing gone wrong).

This game stands beside 50 Cent blood On The Sand s and hilariously engaging mass ****. story takes itself serious and that is what makes it hilarious ,
The gameplay is interesting that It's trying to combined shooting and melee combat With some success it's not completely god-awful but it's not good but I did have fun playing it .
But why did I enjoy it, mostly because it reminded me of bed anime from the 90s and I can't get enough, it So cheesy then puts a smile on your face .
I would recommended if you can get it cheap

Nope.
Devil's Third has a lot of good ideas, but none of them are executed well. The "high paced action" is nothing but a mess, the graphics look like they belong on the Playstation 2, and the single player campaign is one of the most terrible experiences i've ever seen. The only good part I can say about this game is the melee and gunplay mixture, and the controls are alright, but this game does not deliver in any other regard. This game will take it's place beside many others as one of the worst games of 2015.
Devil's Third gets a 2/10.

Devil's third.. more like Devil's turd. horrible unpolished graphics and a low fps that only a terrible hackwork like this peace of **** game can bring. seems more like a salvage job than anything. now itagaki can just sit in his corner, trying to cover his teary eyes with long stupid hair, seeing all the horrible review scores pour in as his integrity goes down the drain.
