This is the same Worms we've been playing for a decade, and that's not necessarily a bad thing.
With a 15 years history, Worms is one of the most loved and known brand in the entire Industry. Like all its modern ancestors, Battle Island lacks of innovation, offering a maybe too proven gameplay, but it's always a Worms chapter, and this is really more than enough.
Friendly controls and a wealth of customization options make Worms: Battle Islands one the most accessible Worms games to date. But it doesn't really offer anything new.
Only the most dedicated of fans, or someone who's never played a Worms game before should pick up Worms: Battle Islands. If you still want a Worms title for cheap, save some cash and pick up one of the other two titles already available on the PSP.
Classic Worms gameplay is still an option in Worms: Battle Islands, but there's nothing else to justify buying it if you've already done so 19 times before. [Issue#105, p.118]
