Following her mysterious disappearance from the Pacific Northwest town of Bright Falls, he discovers pages of a horror story he has supposedly written, but he has no memory of. Wake is soon forced to question his sanity, as page by page, the story comes true before his eyes: a hostile presence of supernatural darkness is taking over everyone it finds, turning them against him. He has no choice but to confront the forces of darkness armed only with his flashlight, a handgun and what remains of his shredded mind. His nightmarish journey to find answers to the mind-bending mystery he faces will lead him into the terrifying depths of the night. Alan Wake Remastered offers the complete experience, with the main game and its two story expansions - The Signal and The Writer - in stunning new 4K visuals. The tense, episodic story is packed with unexpected twists, heart-stopping cliff hangers, and intense bursts of combat where it takes more than bullets to banish the darkness. The game’s cutscenes, quirky cast of characters, and the majestic Pacific Northwest vistas have been enhanced for an experience that delivers as much on its visual impact as its unnerving atmosphere. Remedy’s Alan Wake certainly feels its age, even with a new coat of paint, and that’s okay.

The sound of the graph, the elaboration of the plot, everything is perfect - but I would like to see finally part 2 in Steam

There are issues, some of the lip synching and facial animations are distracting bad and some of the faces just look off. But this is a 10 year old game just getting upscaled to 4k and a few other graphical enhancements. While some people criticize the gameplay for being too much of the same but I always enjoyed it. The flashlight mechanic is a nice way to enhance the combat making you dodge and weave and use bullets to slow them down before they get too close to you.

And the story is still amazing, for all of you new to remedy with Control I think you'll love this story.
Also anyone into Twin Peaks or more supernatural/psychological horror should check it out as well!

For $40 with the two dlc packs and new commentary for us longtime fans this is easily worth picking up whether you're a returning fan or have been curious to see what it's all about. Collapse

But considering some of the recent remasters on the market, Alan Wake´s rejuvenation looks rather dull - especially on XBOX Series X and PlayStation 5. Anyway, if you´ve never experienced the mysteries of Bright Falls before, your money´s still well spent. Expand

But the most interesting thing is that if you review these cut scenes in the main menu, through the gallery, these lags will not be there, fix it. 2) Because of the problem with fps in the cut-scenes also have a problem with the lag of sound from the action on the screen, fix it please. 3) The game is 11 years old, and you could not make in the remaster stable 30 fps, I constantly feel the drop in fps with a large number of effects on the screen, fix it. 4) Throughout the game I also noticed problems with the sound, it sometimes disappears during the time when Alan takes out a false flare and starts lighting a large number of possessed around him. 5) Observe problems with the effects when the possessed cars explode. I'm not berating you for 900p in the game, I'm not berating you for not making 60 fps, I just want a stable game like it is on PS4. I paid money for this, and you gave me some unoptimized stump that you didn't even bother to test before releasing the game. Rated only 1 out of 10 so far, that's terrible. Expand
